Could do an audio tone or light to indicate the level also, kinda like a studfinder.

When I level a scope I line it up on a string and plumb bob hanging from a tree branch.

$12 from Amazon, fits on the picantinny rail. My cheap bipod allows a little rock to it, so I check level with almost every shot.

I had a couple of those and mine were off. Lay another level on top of your pic rail then compare that to the clamp on one and I bet it’s off?
