Back in 2006 most airgunners knew this. They almost ended it for RWS back they took over the line from the extremely reputable Dynamit Nonble. Naturally most new airgun folks have no idea.
I do enjoy my Gen1 Gauntlet but knew it was basically a QB79 so knowing I would be one my own in advance no issue. Sometimes it is good to know the history of companies and it is ALWAYS a good ieda to read all warranty information before purchasing any airgun as well as parts availability from the distributor.
