UMAREX Customer serv.

For that reason alone I can nolonger recommend buying a Umarex Product. They highly promote their products online and at shows but when its time for service or ordering parts they don't even answer the effing phone. When the annoying recording says leave a message it says mailbox is full. If you are lucky enough to get a real voice they tell you to hold on but never come back. Umarex products...Hell no, never again! *Updated the end of post after their response.

Mine was through email and simply asking what their ReAxis gas rams use, nitrogen or just plain air. Plainly stated in my first one it was not any type of warranty issue, was just interested in finding out what they use. Gentleman I was trading the emails with just kept repeating, for 5 more emails, that if I was having issues and it was still inside the warranty period to send the gun back.
Finally got it to sink in on email #7 that, Hey genius, this is not a warranty issue, before I finally get told it's proprietary information they do not share with the general public but if at any point inside or past the warranty period, I was more than welcome to send the gun back.
While others may well have had good luck with their questions, I was definitely not one and the one Umarex rifle I do own will be my last one...lol.

You do have to get the right person! My Air Javelin Pro would not fill to a full 4500 psi. I'd fill it and it would leak down to 3000 psi and then hold air after than. I determined it was a leaking o-ring where the tank attached to the block. I e-mail Umarex Technical Support and was told I shouldn't fill it to more than 3000 psi! That's when I reached out to JB on GTA and he sent me a new set of o-rings. In the mean time I had ordered some 90 DURA o-ring from the O-Ring Store and had installed them, it has not leaked since. I think the originals were 70 DURA and were just too soft for the higher pressure fill. Point is, keep trying till you get someone who actually has a clue and cares about the customer!

OK I just spoke to a umarex idiot after 2 days of trying to reach. They said they don't stock the O rings and I would have to send the gun back under warranty or replace the effing gun!!! It will cost me $25-30 to repack and send the gun back, plus its not under warranty!!! I then asked if I could just replace the magazine then? He said they were on their website for $35. I said I was just on their website and did not see it and asked if he could send me a link to my email. I gave him my email. Still waiting for the link. These MFs are a joke! Don't buy Umarex.

Do you have JB's contact info.? Would he have O Rings for the Thompson? Also how would we know what size or type O ring to get. Looks like mine shrank.

I have no experience with Umarex products, but this points out the importance of understanding the parts and service support available for any product. There are a few very excellent air rifle companies in Europe that make terrific products, but there is virtually no support available here. Even those as well known as Steyr and Anschutz can be challenging to service or repair. And simply being a legitimate dealer isn't enough, as most companies do not require that a dealer invest in parts inventory or shop capability. "Caveat emptor" is alive and well in the air gun market.

Anyone know what happened to the rest of this conversation? It was longer than this, now it looks like part of it has been removed or cut. I posted an update and there more comments. Now they are gone.🤬
You are soooo right. 90 day warranty then NO support not even an oring they won’t sell you parts tell you where to get parts or even details to help fix your gun.
