Taipan Type One Taipan's...A Testimonial.

Good to know.

I have a .22 long 700 mm. Reg set from factory at 135 BAR.

Which slug is more accurate for you and at what distance(s)?

Thanks
As you know each barrel is different so what works for me might not work for you.

Anyhow, the H&N 25gr (.218 head size) @ 940 fps and ZAN 25.5gr (.218 head size) @ 905fps shoot a group that I can cover with a penny @ 50 yds. My maximum range I have shot the H&N is 75 yds and have had good luck hitting quarters without issue.

Good luck to you finding a slug that works for you!

Found my mutant group to show what it’s capable of. Only x4 groups @ 48 yards. I only had 4 shots left in my 1st mag. 2nd mag had hades and to my surprise it shot them exactly the same. I probably would have messed up a 5 shot group anyway lol. Was just wet piece of cardboard laying on ground. Shot a hole then aimed at it.

Gun will literately stack em. Thats a pellet for reference sitting next to top group.

That's what I needed to know. Thank You!

I think I might try the ZAN 25.5g ( .218 head size ) at around the same velocity; 900-910 fps. I shoot in various target challenges and although I shoot 100% pellets, I want to explore how slugs might due in the new Vet2.

Not to hijack the Taipan love here, but can anyone help w fitment?

My short is a nice little off-hand shooter, but the LOP is way too short for me. It's a loose fit no matter how hard I tuck... Without ruining the easthetics are there any good options for working around this issue?

The other thing that could be improved is the cheek weld that's probably just a matter of puttng down some neoprene. But it would be nice if there were other less-trailer park ways of adding to the comb
