I want to know how or why that nut of the fitting is so chewed up and where the rest of the fitting is at?

The link you posted shows a braided fill whip with FOSTER connections at BOTH ends. Where dose a hose clamp & barbed fitting come into the picture? Did you alter the hose shown in link? I'm not understanding the whole story here.No clue, that was what was left.
And at 4450 or so it gave way.
Your point?
4500psi is different in other applications?
I recommend we all stop living. Only way to not die. To hell with half measures, get out of your own house!Yikes…I mean put a bunch of pressure in and sometimes things go boom. Shoot springers because of this?
. We all better stop driving first and foremost. By 100000000000000 miles the most dangerous thing we all do and think nothing of it. I will take precautions but personally ain’t worrying about hpa

No, that is obviously an M10 fitting that screws into the compressor. The link you posted shows a braided fill whip with FOSTER connections at BOTH ends. Where dose a hose clamp & barbed fitting come into the picture? Did you alter the hose shown in link? I'm not understanding the whole story here.
The crimp (they called a clamp) is missing, but that's how they look after that event. Looks about right for mainland chinesium crimp qc.The link you posted shows a braided fill whip with FOSTER connections at BOTH ends. Where dose a hose clamp & barbed fitting come into the picture? And hearing protection. WMGood idea to Always wear safety glasses during fills- regardless of brands.
Yeah, it left at (i assume) high speed to somewhere outside the immediate vicinity. Not on the porch or the patio that I could find.I've seen barbed fittings used with high pressure air and hydraulics, the difference being a steel crimped sleeve over the braid and tube, which is apparently missing from this assembly.
The barbs on that fitting don't seem very aggressive so, if it did have a sleeve on it it probably wasn't crimped tight enough; defects occur even on American made stuff!Yeah, it left at (i assume) high speed to somewhere outside the immediate vicinity. No doubt, but i had 2, one still in bag new. Both are in the recycle bin.The barbs on that fitting don't seem very aggressive so, if it did have a sleeve on it it probably wasn't crimped tight enough; defects occur even on American made stuff!
