I was looking at a new .20 caliber HW90 for $840 with the adjustable gas ram. I wanted to know if anyone has ever tuned this down for as little recoil as possible , and used a lighter pellet to keep up the speed , and accuracy? OV.
I have always wanted to shoot / play with tuning one but didn't want to buy just out of curiosity .OV, I have all four calibers of the 90. Never took one apart. But an absolute gem of a rifle. I’ve spent no time with the .177 or the .22.
The .25 was the first Weihrauch I ever bought. Never hated a gun so much. Sat on wall for 2 yrs. just as a reminder. Then read an article here by Jayjay. I bought the .20 and pump and gauge.
‘The .25 turned down to 18 bar, made it do a 180. You would never believe it’s the same rifle. The .20 is one for my most accurate. Lucky to have this one.
I’ve never gone below 18 bar but plan to when I have a full day of shooting. It would be easier to Jack.
They make unique sounds when jacking. I think this is Weihrauch’s prize. Crow
