can we PLEASE get a 177 heavy liner with TR of 1:12? Or at minimum 1:14. PLEASE?
Or at least remove the heavy liner as it is just a regular liner, at least in regard to TR which i assume is the main factor in regard to accuracy.
I will rethink my situation in the coming weekend as i very much doubt i can do the 1.5 hour long drive to the shop to pick up my Maverick tomorrow.
I will also take a talk with Krale tomorrow in regard to my options, CUZ on the face of it i am tempted to try the new barrel, but from a technical point of view why even bother when it is the same as the 700 mm barrel i already have ( STX superior )
I am very happy i have not acted upon my limited collection of 16 and 20 grain slugs, and ordered a lot more of those in anticipation of being able to shoot those soon
Mind you. One of the South African boys do shoot 16 and 20 grain H&N slugs fine ( .177 ) in his impact with the regular barrel ) but i have tried 16 and 20 grain Zan and 16 grain H&N and i can not get any of those to fly like the south African can, even if i also use his 150 BAR on the regulator.
Part of this i think might be in him using a .22 Impact, with a .177 liner and probe,,,,,, and i think spring and hammer maybe vaslve return spring are different in a .22 gun, or at least VS my Maverick,,,,,, which is also why i have gotten heavier hammer weights to try in my Maverick but that also did not help.
I think me wanting to shoot slugs / getting a gun made for that very thing, i be wise to lean back and actually see that proven with a factory rifle, VS all this silly add-ons that might or might not work as intended.
I am very interested in seeing what weights the .177 halo slugs will come in, i assume unlike most other calibers they will NOT come in different diameters, as that pretty much seem to be the norm no matter what slug brand you look at in regard to .177 slugs.
