Retired at 60. Volunteer as a veteran hospice visitor and with Engineers without Borders. The biggest effort is to lose some weight and improve my health. Want to collect more airguns and shoot more often. Finally got all the airguns I wanted as a kid.

I'm assuming the majority of members here are retired. Or if I'm wrong what is a good guess on the percentage of retired airguners?
Just guessing by reading a lot of the posts on when people are shooting or out farting around during the day..lol.
Hopefully I'll get there one day and join in on the
fun.

I retired in 2015. I bought my first pcp in Nov 2024

Retired in July 2022. Went back to work 18 months later. Just accepted a promotion.

Still feel good and will work as long as I can.

Retired Jan. 2020 at 54.
Everything paid for, drawing a comfortable retirement, and still married to the girl I met in High School.
My week now consists of 6 Saturdays and a Sunday.

Yeah, that’s the way to do it. I’m still with the lady I fall in love in 1974.

I was injured in 1990 and was on disability till I turned 65 .. Then they retired me... I have played 70 summers on the last day of this month..

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got in your in October 1997 and my disability finally came in in 2013.

Turning 65 this year but still working as I have my own field biology consulting company which means most of my work is out in the woods which I still enjoy alot. Be a few years until I hang it up I think. Often have an air rifle in the car for some plinking when out on a job.

Man, that sounds great. Are you in eastern Washington or western Washington?

I retired 6 weeks ago, I'm planning to go back to work where I can rest? HaHaHa

Seriously, it feels good to catch up on a few things around here and help out friends and family. Like a few have mentioned, you got to stay busy or life can be boring sitting around.

Although I have two pensions and zero debt I still work because I have a job I absolutely love by helping people feel better and experience less pain. So working pays for my toys…. And hopefully a full sized Airgun and archery facility which I will eventually leave behind as a gift to the people.

A friend of mine once said "why should I retire, my health is really good" and I said, "are you going to wait until your health is really bad and then retire"?
Some people just don't get it!!
