Regulator bar change

 I have a 25 Crown. I have put around four tins of pellets through it. Now the regulator is changing it hold. On a fresh charge of 240 the regulator will show just under 140 for a few shots then it will drop down. It can drop to as low as 128 then could be at 137 for the next shot. Needless to say it is driving me nuts as the poi changes a lot. Any suggestions?

That's pretty good creep Greencop, there was lots of discussion around this a few pages back. One fix identified by Weatherby was this modification. It was really intended for regulator pressure around 140-160 but you might benefit as well. Here's his process of removing the regulator and restacking the BV washers.

Thanks jking. I was hoping not to have to dig into a new gun. I left a message for Ernest and will try him again tomorrow. The restacking does look like the solution to the issue.

@ Greencop. Did you just get your Crown?.
I think I read EVERYTHING 3 times before I bought mine last week. I have been watching the reg gauge like a hawk! So far so good.

2D1C, I’ve had it for well over a month and no issues till this week. The poi started changing and I noticed the swings in the regulator.

Talked to Ernest today, My gun will be heading to him tomorrow. I didn’t shoot it yesterday and when I talked to him today the regulator was showing 150. A fifteen bar raise just sitting a day!
