A little more work than my other rifles but a strong installation none the less. Also sanded the stock a little due to zero clearance at bottle.
I'm glad you "Crown pioneers" are working through all the essentials."Monkyshine"Yes the bottle was against the stock, I now have it where piece of paper can be slid around for clearance. Stock also was against pressure gauges so i opened those holes slightly. Just light sanding corrected these clearance issues. Wanted this baby perfect before I start to shoot for accuracy and chrony work. I also made adjustment to HST set screw to concentric knob and slight reg adjustment to get my mkII's moving at 830 FPS. Will put gun through it paces in couple days.
Did you have to adjust the regulator to get 830 fps with the 33.9 JSB's?"Kitplanenut"You guys are doing a great job installing your rails. Have not decided to install one on my Crown yet. In the past have shot better off the sandbags then off my bipods. Probably just me though. Let us now how your doing on the 100 yard range when you get to shooting. Adjusted the power up on mine just a little to where I'm getting 830 with the 33 grain on max. On the A setting with the 25 grain accuracy is outstanding. my 100 yard target actually measures 106 yards and 1 inch groups are becoming common if the wind is right. My reg spread is is still a little wider then I'd like to see, but it's only got about 300 rounds through it. Monkeyshine, do you and Puertorico live close together? Saw the picture with both Crowns in the shop. Sylvan
