N50 Card with Annie 64 MPR

I will have a one piece rest and rollers by the time my HPX arrives in 6-9 months 😄. Thx for all the tips and my apologies for side tracking this thread.
No apologies req'd Tim. Personally, I like any / all posts whether or not they are related to my original post, because I always learn something.

Perhaps the differences lies with the rest(s)? Are you using 1 or 2 piece rest Tom? I suspect it’s two piece? If so, I too have better success (accuracy) shooting 5 shot groups because when I move my 2 piece rest I feel there is more room for error verses having your rifle in a one piece rest.
I use a nice solid Tripod for the front rest with an Arca Swiss Adapter. Protector rear bag with ears. Sometimes, I will alternate and use the Accu-TAC bi pod for the front.

Maybe if I used my Randolph front rest which I reserve for my Annie .22 LRs, this might help. But, even in that configuration, I use my rear Protector bag.

I assume upgrading to a one piece rest like a Randolph or other, would help my accuracy.

I'm going broke trying to rationalize all my expenditures for this hobby!

I wouldn’t make that assumption, Tommy. My highest scores at 50 and 100 have been shot off a 2 piece…so far. Bipods and attached tripods are not likely your best option, though.

You greatest bump in score at 50
is going to come from learning your wind flags. It cannot be stressed enough

Good, you saved me some money Mike. I wasn't going to buy that one piece Randolph ( or other brand ) just yet anyway.

All joking aside, I actually like the feel and especially the challenge of having a separate front and rear rest; it gets me engaged with the gun, rests, bags, and my shooting technique process.

But, I see at the N50 Nationals and other N50 matches that many of the guys/gals have one piece rests. Must be a reason...

Tommy just my 2 cents, you do not need a one piece rest, learn to setup your front rest and rear bag the same way every time it is crucial in how it is setup. Reason why you state you shoot better at one bull, plus without those flags your just shooting in the air at a piece of paper not knowing but guessing.

Went out yesterday to shoot some N50 cards at 50 yards. Wind was light, and weather good. Shot four cards ( 230, 230, 236 and a 238 ) with the FX Boss .25. Shot two cards with King Heavy and the other two with MK2; both 33g pellets. Joe - I did have two flags out. :)

NOTE: When I first set up, I was sighting in my gun, and accidentally shot high in box # 23. So that was a sighter before I shot the actual 238 card.

Have a few pics of my bench set up and the flags. I just posted the pic of the '238' card and the (2) serven's and (2) eight's hurt me and kept me from getting into the 240's. May have been wind, but probably was me. Mike B - I am starting to think a 2-3 lb weight forward under the cylinder may help me. I notice a bit of a jump, with a moderately firm shoulder hold. Also, I need to watch the Tripod closely because I notice one of the legs (front, nearest to me) sometimes is slightly off the bench. I may go back and try the Accu-Tac also.

At the end I shot a couple of 5-shot groups, and this was .41" CTC group just to reaffirm it's ME, not the gun. Ha. Ha...

Q. In looking at the EBR content/pics, I still set a lot of Accu-Tac bipods vs. using Tripods or one or two piece rests. Did you observe same?
