Manufacturers developing small cal slug guns besides Huben?

I’ve been scouring the forums to see if there is a manufacturer developing guns/barrels for use with slugs with higher bc’s to get accuracy at longer ranges. Does anyone know of actual announcements that this is happening and names/dates or is it still a pipe dream? How long till this happens? It seems possible as people are testing them on the forums and trying to mock up guns on their own that do the same thing, but the results and ways of getting there are too numerous. Other than Huben, is there a fun that does this out of the box with readily available ammo?

"DeutschKSK"AirForce is the way to go if you want to mod a slug gun. Like spysir said Korean guns are usually powerful enough to push some slugs too.. big bores are essentially slug guns them selves so there’s many manufactures. I’d like to see what the AF Texan will do in .257!

Watching shot show interviews with Airforce, they said a .257 is coming in a limited run. They also said they're planning to release repeating action but got delayed due to their M&A of RAW. Airforce .257 with repeating action ... put that in a Texan SS carbine or Condor SS ... sign me up.

Intresting. So from that video - essentially you need a gun that can propel the slug faster than 900fps without a choked barrel... and the right slug. Seems like the first manufacturer to put that together in the right package in all the small calibers wins. Who wouldn’t want a gun like the impact or wolverine that could shoot a projectile with a high bc like a slug?

I would throw one more qualification in the mix - the magazine must handle the longer slugs and pellets. This seems to be a short coming of most pellet guns on the market. The airgun either requires use of a single shot tray or hand loading a single shot into the breech.
The Sumatra 2500 appears to have the power to push slugs accurately. It has a non-choked barrel and has a 6 shot magazine that can handle just about every slug out there.
The magazine can handle ammo up to 0.622" long.
The longest slug I have is Nielson Specialty ammo. It's a .25cal 55gr slug at 0.462" long
The longest pellet I have is the Eun Jin pointed. It's a .25cal 43.2gr pellet at 0.457" long

Texag, You might be a candidate for a Barnes handmade rifle and bullets.Gary Barnes has been making bullet guns for 20 years or so. Barrels and all parts and matching bullets are made by Gary.
If you Google  Barnes .25 Magnum airgun video  you should get an example. His airguns are all super accurate and cover all the larger calibres, but are of course very expensive.
Regards, Harry.

As mentioned above the Air Force platform is great for shooting slugs
I myself prefer Daystate and almost all of my Daystate's are slug shooters
the gun in the picture below was bought here on the AGN and belongs to a
friend the Daystate High Power in 22 cal is a excellent choice for a slug shooter
as will be the new Wolverine R in 22 cal " I will have one some day "

The pic below I was using a 22 cal 24 grain shooting at around 930 fps
it was shooting 3/4 inch groups that day at 90 yards .

This next gun is shooting the same 22 cal 24 grain bullets
but this one pushes them at 1100 fps its also pushes a heaver
40 grain bullet at 945 fps both rounds are sub MOA all day long
and it's quiet at 66 db .

There are plenty of good shooting slug guns out there , just find the right ammo .

"texagdds"Thanks for the video! That is exciting. Seems like the interchange fx guns are becoming one size fits all.
Glad to help! I think you may have given me negative feedback by accident. I can tell based on your comment that I believe you were trying to send me a plus, not a negative lol. No worries, just wanted to mention it for giving others positive feedback in the future. The two little buttons are really close together. ;-)
