Lizards problems, my goodness, problem with a BBgun is the balls rickoshay,so they are out,a cat is the best way.
A lizard problem is something I never have heard of. What damage can a lizard do, they eat bugs.
I don't condone killing lizards,but if you must ,shot them between the eyes,for this you need good shot placement ,so you need to get an accurate pellet gun of very low power.,CO2 works....Take what I said with a grain of salt,hey what about those salt shooters?

I’ve been following the Cometas on a UK site and was impressed enough with what they were saying to order a 400 series for my future SIL for Xmas. Looking forward to testing it out over the holidays. From what I’ve read the 220 and 400 series triggers are similar. I’d think a 220 Cometa would be great for small pests.

He does say they’re invasive. Non-native wildlife may not seem harmful, but it usually is.

They poop all over the pool deck. 177 will do the trick and he’s worried about his neighbors hearing. The Cometas looks really good. He might like the M853 and I can buy another from CMP. I wish there was a manufacturer that still had some love for the single stoke pneumatic.

An SSP would be nice too. Never much cared for the whole multipump thing but they do give you some decent power. I just much rather crack a break barrel once than clack away at a multi pump to get one shot off

I know he came here for a springer suggestion but the ICON PCP is so cheap seems like that would be something to consider. I will second the gamo wildcat as an out of the box decent shooter at least until the cheap scope breaks.

I had a Cometa 400 25 years ago, it was an excellent rifle, I paid 200 dollars for it. Don’t compare it with Gamo or Norika, the Cometa is a completely different quality rifle, comparable to the Diana, I’m not sure that the Diana is any better than the Cometa.

Seems a bit of an over kill to buy a low powered air rifle to shoot lizards pooping around his pool. Think of the rickoshays, I’m with boscoecrea get a cat.

Excellent gun, but should be running 12-14 FPE so not that low power. Levgen721, the guys on the UK site are saying the new Cometas compare favorably to the Diana. Trigger being the biggest difference according to most.

I'm agreeing with Shawney. A multi-pump would probably be ideal. Even 12ftlbs would be over kill for little lizards. A multi-pump would allow you to dial in the right amount of kill power. You don't need to pump it all the way up for little lizards. Something like a Crosman 1377. With a sound moderator, your neighbors won't hear anything.

+1 on the multipump. Safer for the environment, like windows and such.
If said lizards are rat sized and you want a springer, how about Hatsan's Mod25 pistol or the "Tact" carbine version? ~7 ft# and accurate enough within 10 meters. I found a pistol handy when reaching into bushes and such for a shot.

Another suggestion if you just want something that will put a big smile on your face is a Barra 400e. It's outside of your price range, it's not a springer and there's a ricochet hazard, but if I were just looking to kill small lizards and have the time of my life doing it it would be my #1 choice.
