N/A Low power springer on a budget

I need some help from the springer folks. I’m a PCP, CO2, and SSP guy. I have a friend that has an invasive lizard problem, small ones not iguana.

He wants to spend under 200, so an HW30 is out of consideration. I’ve thought of CO2, but spring seems better for his application and use.

I’ve found the BSA comet and the Hammerli Hunter Force 600 as options.

Any of those worth a hoot for close pesting? I’m open to other recommendations please

I’m going to let him borrow my M853 with a scope in the meantime.

Thank you.

A friend of mine bought a Crosman Optimus for pesting and has had good results. Well under budget, and it also has some decent
reviews on PA.

The Cometa 220 sits right around 7.5ftls in .177 cal. They're lightweight, accurate, and budget friendly. The 300 series will bump you up closer to 10.5fpe in .177 or 13 in .22 but are slightly over budget

Not familiar with these,..visited their site. They're even throwin down some walnut on some of their models. Nice.

Dude they're great for the money. I brought over a bunch through a group buy and ended up liking them so much that I brought in the full inventory. They aren't quite as refined as your German springers but they sound great out of the box. No tuning required to get rid of any buzz and twang. The 400 triggers are some of the best triggers I've used on a budget piston gun.

Sorry not a springer but it might fit the bill
Seneca Dragonfly MK II
$199.99
But with shipping...it might be over $200
If he doesn't have a scope...it'll definitely be over $200

Ruger magnum springer. I think this a Chinese version of the Xisco B28 for Ruger which is a clone of the RWS 350 in 22 cal. Very powerful and within your budget. Read long break in time and the scope will probably have to be replaced. If like the RWS 350, takes a lot of practice to shoot accurately. Would benefit greatly from a tune. Higher chance then a German Springer to get a lemon. Also look for a used Xisco B28 or RWS 350.
