HW 85 VS HW 77

I have a dear friend that is basically stuck home alone, on a walker and he just lost his wife. He loves to shoot pellets indoors and thinks he can handle a HW30 that I’m bringing him. I can tell you that he would not agree that that a HW97/77 is a better gun. Like Mo-Ron is saying, different people have different needs. ”Better” is relative. AGN is and has been a good place for objective facts. Giving subjective opinion is fine to but should not be confused with the other.

The 77/97 is a better gun. That's why it costs more, and also weighs more. If you can't see that as fact, then you are choosing not to look.

The sliding compression chamber almost always has better bore tolerances.

They never suffer from lockup issues (that the HW30 sometimes does, I have one now that's junk).

They never have galling issues from the cocking arm.

They never need a barrel tension adjustment and never have POI movement issues resulting from that.

They never have nicked up seals from being cut after being crammed over punched holes in the receiver.

They are able to be more efficient at a given power due to a shorter transfer port.

As I said at the very beginning, they are a better gun in every way other than weight and loading convenience.

If it's not the gun best suited to your purposes, that's fine. That's why they make several. Choose the one that fits best.

But let's keep the facts, the facts.

Yes. But only if it was stamped complete on a Tuesday, by Hermann's oldest employee, after his favorite lunch, and when the wind was out of the south.

Otherwise, it's probably gonna be a turd.
Lol..
I thought before Octoberfest when too many beer buddies and omm pa pa bands affected there work..
