okay now between the ghost and maverick, which one is easier to do maintenance on as well as ease of tuning?
Maintenance is hands down the brk. In my opinion the huma reg in the ghost is superior. 100000000 x easier to work on. The mav has 2 PIA regs in it.

Plus of mav is lower reg pressures to produce power and can be found much cheaper.

how’s maintenance on the gun? and how’s the stock regulator?
The airmaks are the simplest guns on the planet to get to that happy place. If you’re off the sweeet spot the gun tells you. You’re either getting a 2fps or smaller sd Or you’re wrong, wherever you’re set on the reg you’re going to have a specific window of velocity to work with. You basically have to be deaf and blind to get it wrong. Katran and krait.

you think utah air would send me one for a test drive? loljk

hmm. can i run the mav with just one regulator?
It would be possible. You would have to buy a plenum tube to replace the one that contains the second regulator on the Maverick. Then you could run just the first. There was a source for them in Europe (plenum tube ) last I checked they were out of stock. Still out of stock. No idea if there are other sources for that part.

You can bypass degassing the whole gun by putting a buddy bottle and buddy valve on it when tuning, that way you can remove the bottle, and simply degas the plenum before doing the rest of the work. It saves you lots of time and air.

My apologies to daddypaddy as I don't mean to hijack his thread... But..

I'm interested in the AirMaks Krait L as it's under 7 lbs with or without the wood stock. When you say 'buddy bottle and buddy valve', to bypass degassing, couldn't I just unscrew the Krait L bottle, and degass without losing all the air? I don't think I've ever had a bottle gun..lol.

I've been looking at AirMaks Krait L here, and Sandy has all of them with the latest MK4 Huma reg, plus all those beautiful wood stocks. He's the only dealer I could find with all available wood/laminate stocks.

The OEM bottle is a straight m18x1.5(pretty sure not 100%) valveless. You can get an FX bottle system adapter.

BTW, thanks again for the Veyron deal.

I was referring to the Uragan 2, I haven't tried taking the bottle off the Krait, so I couldn't tell ya.

Give all of your specifics requirements you'd be hard pressed to find something that isn't custom made.

I had a U2 .22 700mm came to me doing 935 with 25gr HN slugs and I got about 140 shots per fill. But it was a 39" gun without a moderator.

You can get 110 poops with an impact compact shooting 18gr pellets at 880fps, but you'd be hard pressed to get 30 shots making the 48fpe you're looking for out of that same gun unless you put 2 bottles on it.

I've had the Edgyn lelya, at 23" it made 38fpe with the huna reg at 135b, the reg tops out at 150b.

The Cricket 2 .45 .22 is 27.7" without a moderator and it topped out at 41fpe with the reg at 130b but it did not like being set that high in the fpe with that reg setting.
Way too many poops for me

Thanks again for the bottle adapter link. Mundilar Air Guns is in Portugal so we deal with tariffs again I presume :(. When ready, I'll look for that adapter here in the US if available.

FX Maverick or Wildcat MK3 which is the same gun essentially. You have a choice of 3 barrel lengths. I personally prefer the VP with the 600 mm barrel but I replaced the 400 cc tank with a 480 cc CF tank and saved 10 oz in weight plus gained a bit more capacity. The VP is compact enough but has power potential for pellets or slugs and is easy to tune.
