FYI for those of you that have purchased the Yooreal vibration sensing hour meter (pictured below) to track the runtime on your compressor.
The operation instructions (also pictured below) are wrong and misleading at best. They have the sensitivity settings backwards... at least on mine it is wrong.
It states that level #1 setting is for low vibration output of the unit and #3 is for high vibration output. At least that's how I deciphered it. I ran my CS4E compressor to fill 4 or 5 guns and the hour meter didn't even resister .1 on the lcd screen. I set it #3 and it counted just fine.
So here's the deal...
If your compressor is running and the "H" on the hour meter is not blinking the unit is not counting the minutes/hours.
Today I'll be looking at another potential issue with my setup...
I have my compressor station set up on a heavy metal frame bench with a 2" thick wood top. I have a Yong Heng, the CS3e and the CS4E all on the bench. I can connect and run any one of these compressors through the GX Pro Drain water separator filter simply by connecting the output whip of the selected compressor to it and the output of the filter to the target tank or gun.
With the hour meter sensor set at it's most sensitive setting, I want to make sure it's not sensing the vibrations from the CS3 or the YH when they are running giving me false runtime data on the CS4E compressor.
I'll report what I find... I may need to set it to the level #2 setting.
