I'm not sure how I feel about it. Having a magazine is still not going to make it a realistic repeater for hunting; too much arm-waving involved. A wounded animal will likely be gone by the time you rack another round in.

On the other hand, for plinking and informal target shooting, especially in cold weather, it could be GREAT.

I'm thinking a magazine fed, medium or low power, side lever cocker, that would be good! I think IZH made one awhile back, but they seem to have dried up.

My Daisy 953 (single pump 10m pneumatic target rifle) uses 5-shot clips, and it's pretty handy. Some guys who do target shooting with PCPs still refuse to use magazines, even if it can't be proven that they harm accuracy. After having owned two WITH magazines, I don't think I'd buy one without.

I talked to Gamo and the distributor about the sharp edges. If I do any obvious sanding then I cant send it back. They have given me some xtra time to shoot it some more to finish break in before I decide. I had already shot 75 or so rds when I talked to them, didn't want all that to go too waste. Plan on major break in session this coming weekend, weather permitting. I have shot about 125 or so rds through it now. Accuracy has improved to quarter sized 10 shot groups at 30 yards and hardly any flyers now. My gun appears to like the Luxor coppers the best so far. Considering I am still getting use to the gun and breaking in, plus I am still using the stock crappy scope it appears to be a very good shooter. I am upgrading the scope to a Hammers and going to try some of the heavier pellets and the polytips. Tks for your service brother.... LIVIT.

thank you, i still have to break in my benjamin trail some time soon, ive only shot it out to 20 yards, for the longest it was shooting all over the place, it seems weird that they would tell you to break it in to wear down the sharp edges... no pain no gain i guess, maybe use a cheek rest and a shooting glove until its smooth, i am also upgrading my scope sometime soon but im thinking one of the lower prices hawke scopes

The break in was not to wear down the sharp edges. I had already spent the time and monies to get it almost broke in and the results have been showing that I got a good one. I told them I did not want to exchange it if this was the case. They said if I did want to exchange it that I could not sand down the stocks sharp edges. I shot again this morning, accuracy and consistency showed improvement again. My new scope will be here in a few days and then we will see how good it is out to 50yds.

"Solves a problem that didnt exist" ? I personally like the multi-shot concept. My concerns, with Gamo's lack of QC is the reliability and consistency of the magazine in reloading the same each time.

I have to agree on this. I have semi-auto rifles in some PB rifles and most of those just give you bad habits. Go to the range sometime and shoot beside a couple of good ol' boys with ARs. I guess the only thing I would want to shoot that fast at would be a can.(or a zombie ;) ) Of course in the world of Airsoft it is a good thing to have. So I guess my vote is that type of gun is more on the side of being a shooting "toy" and not a hunter?


Edit: there may be a good time to use this type of rifle? Look at the video in the first post of this thread.
