FX Crown power wheel explained?

The FX Crown documentation is really lacking in there paper manual.

My Crown is the newer Gen. 2 but the power wheel adjuster is not the same dial face as the manual

FX said they simply hadn't gotten around to updating the manual yet.

Goldwing that is the same dial that they put on the M3 Impact. Your able to get a more adjustments since it goes 1-24 instead of 1-6 or A-E. Instead of 2 sets of power adjustment it’s 1 long gradual increase.

I'd remove it and check the steps to see if they are linear or not. The old ones had two sets of steps. (letters or numbers). One side being slightly lower than the other. I am guessing the new one is linear and the higher the number, the more hammer spring tension you get? But I havnt had one in my hands

I do note when I turn it counter clockwise the POI goes up ever so slightly but still trying to confirm this

Thanks

I just installed my new power wheel. Rather than nearly redundant settings, letters and numbers, the new wheel is nautilus shaped. This allows finer resolution, smaller fps change per click. The wheel adds and subtracts hammer spring tension, which in turn raises and lowers velocity. Your poi is changing with the increase and decrease of the velocity of the projectile.

The horizontal threaded post that's at 9 o'clock behind the dial knob, (preload block/screw) how do I adjust that properly?

Seems like I'm just spinning the dial but completely sure its really working?

Thanks
