Always leave pressurized! Why do you think it makes a difference?

That is an ISSUE ..... It is a Known issue with polyurethane 0-rings that they can and will take a set ( As in if forced to take a slightly different shape they lack the shape memory ) when compared to Viton, Buna o-rings we typically see in PCP air guns.
So WHY are they using Poly o-rings .... tough question that many asked when these rifles first came to market. With SKOUT ( Smart Parts in Paintball ) the use of POLY in markers was a durability thing I was told by them & it has been carried over to there PCP development. Personally wish then had not as I've too seen flattened & deformed poly o-rings in my skout and well a few other manufactured PCP's .... yea there tough as nails but there shape memory not so much.

My take away in a PCP such as SKOUT that has such awesome engineered parts and pieces threw out the entire system bottle to regs to valve heavily using Poly rings on near every air control / sealing surface, The use of poly o-rings is GREAT in some locations but falls short of ideal in others ... Thus the "Why For" your seeing state of tune shifts as you have shared / stated. JMO

That would be a very good point if I hadn't already replaced the O rings in the HP reg with Viton, and I have a digital gauge on the HP side, so no creep.

You addressed ONE location .... as too all the other critical sealing joints that make up the complete operational system keeping it all balanced .... Nope

I'm not trying to be combative here.
This is WHY the rifles are provided with a Pressure On/Off valve at bottle ... Now if one chooses NOT TO use it as directed here you are with related issues.

Fair enough, but I still fail to see what else in the way of o ring compression/set would affect the velocity there is only the spool valve seals and if they were leaking pressure due to taking set surly this would affect all shots and make them all lower velocity like I said no change in the reg pressure to the spool valve plenum yet big change in velocity upwards when heavier pellet was used yet two weeks before both light and heavy where on point.

Also unless the gun is emptied /bled of air as well as turning off the bottle then It's still pressurised, does every Skout owner do this, and when I asked Skout about the need for turning off the bottle I was told only if left for a longer period of time than two weeks, it also begs the question of why don't Skout now recommend a different composition O ring for their guns?
