Edgun Leishy 2 - Scope Options? High budget

Hello!

Looking for options for my L2 as backup if I cannot get my Dedal soon from Brian....

-Budget $1500 (scope only)

-Power: ?? I would like to keep it compact. so 8x is what I was thinking, but open to others.

I really like the NF 1-8, but their parallax is set way to far out, which is the issue with many scopes. I reallly want the new March Short 1-10, but not spending the money on it. But hopefully you see where I am trying to head. Anyways, $1500 or so.....thanks for the suggestions.

Athlon Helos BTR 3-12x44 FFP are compact and light with decent glass and illuminated reticle.

Do you mean the 2-12x44? And if so, it’s not light by any means!

The Athlon Argos BTR Gen 2 1-8x24 has 50 yard parallax & could possibly be adjusted closer.

Way cheaper than your budget but I do think it's a great scope for its price point. Might get you by until the Dedal comes in.

It's short for a 1-8x24 but I don't recall the weight.

Way below your budget but another vote for the Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 2-12×42. Length is 11.8" and weight is 22.6 ounces. Not exactly lightweight but it's not that bad. I like the reticle for fast engagement in the 4x, 6x, and 8x magnification range. Another suggestion but a little over your budget is a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20X50. They have FFP and SFP available now. It focuses down to 11 yards, length is 12.00", and weight is 28.3 ounces. Again, not exactly lightweight but there's not that many options unless you go with an LPVO. Cost is around $1950 but I've seen some open box go for around $1750. If you don't mind used, you might be able to get better deals.

Not light to you…light to me…..

Fair enough, but in a world of scopes, Athlon’s tend to be on the heavier side!
