Dust Cover fo FX DRS Probe

I was concerned about my fill probe getting dirty sitting exposed while target practicing, so I designed a 3D dust cover. It fits loosely over the O-ring section but is a snug fit on the metal closest to the whip. I only had to print 3 before i got the dimensions correct, not bad for a rookie. I uploaded a file to thingiverse so anyone can print it. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7112912

If you put it on thingiverse careful how you label it. I might use "xyz mm fill probe dust cover."

Well done!

I was looking for one but didn’t like the design or price on a piece of plastic with a hole in it. It was pretty simple, just needed a little trial and error to get the sizing right, a tenth of a millimeter makes all the difference. It’s a 6.6mm hole for the 1st 26mm and 6.1mm for the bottom part.

I printed a 3D plug that I leave in the port until I’m ready to refill. With the Tactical you can fill from either side, so I just push the plug out with the probe.
That seems similar to some of the plugs that I have had for other guns, recommended for hunting and such service.

What advantage do you find to removing the probe and plugging the fill port bore, versus leaving the probe in place and capping it?

There's always something to be learned by asking these questions, IME.
