Chronograph Recommendation (indoor)

I have had an Alpha Chrony in Red and was not very pleased with how picky it is about lighting and proximity of projectile in order to get an accurate read.
I went ahead and purchased the Competition Electronics ProChrono with the indoor LED system for under $150 shipped from Amazon. Great performance and can now reliably shoot indoors at night with no problem.

Brian - thanks, that looks like a nice one. I read some mixed Amazon reviews about the tripod but I really like the idea of being able to bluetooth/export the data.
The tripod does suck but you can use any other or it’s easy to upgrade to a better head

I too have the Pro. Spend the extra $50 on the lights. I have had it for a couple years and use it inside and out. No errors on arrows or pellets. It does screw up sometimes when I shoot PBs over it. But I am sure that’s from the blasts. I made a ShoeBox size cut-out in my shooting bench that it drops down into. This has helped on the muzzle blast not tipping it over or trashing the screen.

I will second this recommendation on this Caldwell unit. And the tripod is not the best but while you are on Amazon you can order a $35 tripod that will fix that issue. It will work indoors or out, no matter the lighting conditions and it uses your smart phone for all the calculation and recording of data that you can email to anyone. The data it sends is in a *.csv format that can be opened in most spreadsheet programs.
Of the many I have had including Ohler, it is the best.

I'm with Brian and Tvanpool on the Caldwell Ballistic Chrony. I've had 4 different chrony's and this upside down one is hands down the best. I don't use the tripod. I just lay it flat on the table and shoot from there.

I bought the complete ProChrono Digital set up, everything worked perfect the first time I used it. Now the Digital Link doesn't work, it shows up on my Fire and and the green light showing a connection is made is on, but no data. I called Competition Electronics tow weeks ago and was instructed to send the chrono and Digital Link back. They seem to think there was a problem in the chronograph. I hope to get it boxed up and sent back by the end of the week.

That stinks! How long have you had it?
