I don't know if the aftermarket barrels will be sub-MOA, but I did a lot of reading and research on the brand. As always, airgun youtubers sing praises of the barrel while real world owners on this forum isn't too impressed. And that price for a barrel is pretty outrageous unless they GUARANTEE it's a shooter.

I would love to get that done but I don't want to do it myself and nobody locally does it. Do you have any recommendations?

There is no reason you can’t do it yourself. Take barrel off a cleaning rod and bore mop take your finger fill the mop wiith jb and stroke the barrel say 20 strokes to start. Actually you should push a pellet through first to identify rough or tight spots so you can hit them a bit more when all done shoot and judge. If more is needed

Kwaping - There are some pretty good instructional YouTube barrel polishing videos, which visually show you how easy this process is to do yourself. Additionally, there is some good step by step instructions on the AGN forum which describe in detail the process. Before I tackled this myself, I did considerable research trying to learn how.

Like you, I am not a tinkerer but other than taking the barrel off the gun and putting it in my padded vice, the process is really easy and rewarding to do yourself.

Alternatively, AoA will do it for you (probably for FREE) under warranty; but this process is good to know for all your other rifles and barrels that may require an occasional polish.

Do you have a BW, the sub-moa barrels are coming out in the next few weeks the 22 30 caliber will be available, I am not so sure that the barrel on the BW is the problem I can get a 1/4 1/2 inch group one day and then the next day they are all over the place if you look back on the

I have been doing a lot of testing with different pellets and chronograph each group, I have found that one day I shoot jsb 25.39 at 900 fps and go back to the range with the same settings and they would shot 870 fps on the same settings.

If you only shoot right after setting the reg usually the reg will settle a bit. What i do is set the reg and crono then go back a couple hrs later and check if velocity is the same then adjust reg if necessary and usually that will be consistent after that

Don’t sweat it too much just think of it as using semi chrome polish to polish a piece of chrome. Jb is very fine and just takes off very minor burrs and shines up the barrel. Its really not going to hurt anything unless you sit there all day

I'm feeling pretty confident now between this thread and the YouTube videos I watched. One question though, do you recommend the JB bore cleaning compound or the bore bright?

For you guys having trouble at longer yardages you should polish your barrels a bit with jb bore paste. I’ve been having good luck with ghost barrels by polishing them. Took my 25 cal from 1 1/2” or so groups to groups like this with just a polishView attachment 596413

I’m about to do this to my .25 Ghost barrel, it shoots tight groups but fouls in 60 shots. The BW is using the same barrel, I’ll let you all know if it works.
