Yeah, almost... too quiet.

I still don't have a chronometer, but after I get one I'm going to work through some pellet sample packs that I just bought and will report back. I'm not having great luck with the JSB Exact Jumbo Monster Redesigned Shallow, but that could just be a tuning issue. Plus I'm not doing any sort of sorting or other pellet prep before shooting. I'll get some great shots, stacking pellets, and then a few flyers that make me go WTF.

If you are getting good results with a random flyer, it's either the ammo or you. Most likely the ammo.

Yeah I really think it's the ammo. i think if it were me, it would follow a different pattern.

Yeah i just can not get around those, pellets or slugs.
As i am single shot loading, i some times suspect " i just shot that backwards " not least with the severe deviating shots.
Also i am often on the limit of .177 calibre, so it do not take much for my eyebrow to go up

I am also telling myself that the guys that just drill X on various distance paper challenges, they are sorting ammo too, CUZ i do not seem to be even close to that.

I sure will! I haven't tried the Garmin, so I won't be able to do a comparison though. I'm expecting the Athlon might have some teething issues right after launch that will get patched with software updates.

Let the Fun Begin. The first shot was in the dark, 971. Reg at 1.3 made it dark. I agree that DayState should make a better design so we don't need high rings. They should send you a free single-feed loader for a gun at this cost. Even if Plastic. The rest, so far, looks awesome. 30 Cal 700 CC bottle. It feels pretty balanced.

Just got an email from OpticsPlanet, my chrono ships on June 4th. After that, I can finally do some proper tuning. I also have an order out for some pellet samples. Of course I'll be reporting back here on what I learn!

Also, apart from the High rings, the Damn Picatinny is also narrower than standard. I now have confirmation on that. So make sure that your High rings tighten on the rail. So, neither Athlon Sig nor Stadard's rings fit tight.

You guys should consider ordering a ghost hammer spring kit for tuning by what ive heard so far the guns seem to be factory tuned for max power with heavy projectiles and you may need a lighter one for anything lighter

It comes with 3 spring my guess is that they put the the maximum power spring in my gun, I am waiting for heavy pellets to come in

How much FPS range should I be getting from the power wheel? I'm running the red spring with 100-120 bar on the regulator and I'm getting a very small spread between min and max. I'm thinking of switching to the white spring, what do you think?

are both front and rear picatinny too narrow? And if so by how much Compared to industry standards?

I just got done playing with white and I'm getting around 80-100 fps spread from min to max. That's more like what I was expecting. I upped the regulator to 140 bar and I'm really liking the results. I'm staying with white for pellets.
