There are a few Blackwolf threads floating around, but I thought I'd make one to centralize knowledge sharing for people who actually own one.

First question, what ammo are you having luck with, and with which barrel?

For me, I have only tried JSB Exact Monster Redesigned (Shallow skirt) in .22. They were recommended to me from AoA and I got 5 tins with my initial Blackwolf purchase. But I'm not feeling they are "the one" and am looking for others to try.

No blackwolf but a try jts or aea most are finding 1 of them to be more to their liking.

The .177 I set up for Hft isn’t pellet fussy at all but did very well with the JSB 13.4 RD’s

It seem a bit unnecessary for a .177 pea shooter.
I have played with the idea of making the plenum in my Epic Two rifle smaller, i get 2 shots before i hear the regulator work again.

I’m not sure of the intention with the VolumeMax plenums. My guess is for high powered slug applications, since my .30 BW makes plenty of power to shoot pellets at good speeds without stress.

I’m really enjoying my Black Wolf in .22
I just got done building a new magazine for it. The magazine is shooting like a dream, I just need a few thousand shoots to be sure it’s rock solid.

Have been jonesing for one of the tac versions for a while now. Just need to sell a few guns to have a dedicated slug gun.........

Does anyone have the 22 version shooting slugs yet? Any report on how they shoot and what you are shooting?

Sorry, I prefer pellets. I haven’t tried slugs yet.

Bought the BW in Walnut, .30, 28 inch barrel, 700cc bottle. AEA Pellets 44 gr. I only hope it shoots as well as my M4/M3 FX rifles. With the new design and larger plenum I have higher expectations for this mechanical Daystate than ever before. 100 yards?? AOA says not problem. The tactical model with extra plenums simply was not available. Hopefully the pipeline for AEA pellets will open up soon.

Yeah, almost... too quiet.

I still don't have a chronometer, but after I get one I'm going to work through some pellet sample packs that I just bought and will report back. I'm not having great luck with the JSB Exact Jumbo Monster Redesigned Shallow, but that could just be a tuning issue. Plus I'm not doing any sort of sorting or other pellet prep before shooting. I'll get some great shots, stacking pellets, and then a few flyers that make me go WTF.
