FX Anyone got there FX DRS in yet??

You’re the first with the 500mm barrel to report. I would think you should get that kind of velocity on 110 bar with this new valve and the 500mm barrel. FX advertises 60 shots out of the 500mm barrel length In .22. Let’s hope your reg preasure is too high. Your from europe , is your plentum the solid sub 12 ?
There are 3 different plenums, the one for UK (11,8 fpe), the second that I have and the third for the heavy slug shooters (sph).
I live in Belgium and we have no limit for power and caliber.
HuMa is already working on it, they are repeatedly asked about that shp plenum did they told me.
Tomorrow I recieve my Sekhmet gauge, so I can exact tell when it runs of the pressure.
Once I can buy that SHP plenum, I am intend to put on a extra gauge...strange after all these years reading your regulator pressure...you can't do this at this moment:rolleyes:

I know that most of the airgun manufacturers refer to the 16 grain pellets (factory settings) , so it maybe possible. To shoot up to 905 fps with the 18 grain, the power must be increased.

Watch out girl&guys...
Today I recieved my Sekhmet 25mm gauge (1/8 BSP)
This will not fit, the original FX gauge has a smaller diameter opening for the meter. Just looked at the exploded view of the DRS... nothing to find 'which' thread that original FX gauge has! Typical M.F. FX, grrrr

@Leatherman " use long screws"? I only used the cups or sockets a couple of times, on bullpups, not on a rifle. The ones I had were threaded; you drilled a hole & tapped. I even used a dab of epoxy on them. I did not know they made some that took a screw?

You got me thinking, I might go with those sockets and side-mount them. I walk for miles hunting, and the rifle flat on my back would be nicer than fighting a shoulder sling. I mostly hunt with bullpups and I have the sling on my left shoulder and my bullpup under my right arm. This rifle will be too long for that. Ordered the rifle today from Ohio Airguns LLC . Since Jim retired, I have been buying FX stuff from Jason, very responsive and a great fellow.

It's the thread, I suppose the gauge wil fit in the opening stock.
I can understand that you asumed that it would be 1/8BSP
Strange that it is not. Are you sure that the Sekmet is 1/8BSP. Because they are available in multiple treads.

Or is the tread M8X1 in the FX?

Double check it with something else that is surely 1/8BSP

According to HuMa, all those meters are 1/8 at FX. It now turns out that they have made a change in thread. Even FX on You Tube asks if I have the right wire in the sekhmet because according to them they haven't changed anything. He himself (FX) does not say 'which' thread. All very strange!
See the photo, it doesn't lie!

I suppose it is M8x1???

And sorry for the real FX freaks, I must never say M.F. but I was a little dissapointed because after having 8 FX airguns I know that the thread is always 1/8. Even on the FX YT channel they say they have nothing changed. Maybe they don't know by themself???

Then it will proberbly be M8X1, just like the Snowpeak airguns have on there pcp gauges.
It also is not a Wika gauge, it looks like a cheap China part actually.
It can be it is a Chinese knock-off the left one on the picture. It came with a airgun I bought second hand a few years ago. µ

But I was wondering why FX does not quite stick to their own design, even they tell on YT they did not change anything regarding the gauge?

So glad to see everyone engaging in a lively discussion about the pressure gauge on air rifles. In the past, this was not a topic that received much attention. I want to share some experience with the thread: according to the exploded diagram file, 45.1 is an X-ring, with a diameter suitable for a 1/8bspp thread seal. This is consistent with the conventional seal used by FX in the past, as well as the free seal component provided by Sekhmet.

However, thanks to thommy's sharing, the DRS is using an O-ring which does not match the exploded diagram. Additionally, the actual thread size measured by thommy is indeed M8.

Although it is unclear why FX suddenly switched from 1/8BSPP threads to M8 threads across their entire range, perhaps it was due to space constraints. Nonetheless, Sekhmet launched a new 25mm gauge with an M8 thread last month. Judging by the dimensions of the stock, there is sufficient space to accommodate a 25mm gauge. So if anyone wanna give it a try, feel free to contact me for a discount code. And for thommy, we're happy to arrange an exchange for you, pls PM me about your order information.
