FX Anyone got there FX DRS in yet??

I have not really shot mine. Still waiting on the dovetail cutter to arrive to cut a picatinny rail. In the mean time I think I have a solution for the PA-CF part. It has been real solid except for the length cantilevered over the barrel and I want the left for where I really want the scope to be mounted. A little composite work.

I made a couple of slots in the forward bottom part of the rail and epoxied in two aluminum stiffeners.

I really like the form factor of the rifle.

Based on all your negativity toward FX in almost all your previous comments, I thought you were one of those FX hater's !
Did you ever figure out how to shoot a FX Impact with any precision?
I own 2 Impact M3,s that i shoot regularly ....so yeah "Obviously" i hate FX!!!

Yep ...... my modded M3 shoots very well thanks..

There’s no doubt the picatinny rail makes the rifle look better. Nice mod with the aluminum bars. I see you got the low rings too. How is your cheek weld height? My trigger is very light . nice for shooting at paper but it has gone off a few times before I wanted shooting offhand. The first stage is a little sticky feeling to me so I will adjust it a little to my liking some time when it warms up. The rifle is shooting the new 25 grn Hades really good at 860 fps. Mine is a .22 600mm . My only complaint is the rifle is too light. I shoot more accurately with my other rifles offhand and even off a rest like a tree . I have always shot heavier guns better especially flintlock muzzle loaders With their muzzle heavy barrels. I’m restocking mine with a wood stock hoping it will help. Pushing the heavier ammo doesn’t help with the recoil making it also important to have a solid rest. Might try a muzzle break like Matt Dubbers.

I have the DRS/ 500mm barrel in .22 and synth stock.
As I am a fan of the 18 grain JSB, I managed to get the velocity up to 905 fps...not bad.

It seems it will roll-of the reg at 150 BAR.
I suppose, because it has the same bad FX gauges as in the past...shame on you FX!!
I also ordered the Sekhmet Digital Mini Pressure Gauge 25 mm and hope it will fit in the recess of the stock.

Result, only 26 good shots. Not bad for a 208cc cilinder, but I think I need the bigger SPH plenum so I can decrease the regpressure and have more good shots. Also the fact that the reg pressure can decrease I think the rifle will shoot more calmer.

At this moment it I am not able to buy the SPH plenum in Europe...no one has this item as 'sparepart'

Overall I am satisfied with this airgun, as we all know when buying an FX...you do need to tweak a lot before it is shoot really good:ROFLMAO:

O yes, I replaced the Vector Optics Veyron by a Sightron S-TAC 4-20x50 MOA2 ...Sightron...my first love:ROFLMAO:

@ Thommy, two dozen shots at 900 are all I need for squirrel hunting. After the last GK1, I promised myself I was not going to buy another PCP for a year or two, but it won't be the first time I broke a promise to myself.

When I get one (thinking aloud here), I believe I'll put the front sling stud horizontally ( threaded & epoxied) on the very end of the forend. It looks like the LOP is going to be too short for me, so I may put the rear stud in the 1-inch plus thick spacer I'll need. Maybe.

Like the photo, good-looking rifle.

Yep can’t fault the gun maker. We are made with different length arms, necks and different size faces and there isn’t a one size fits all stock unless it’s something like the GRS with all the adjustments. So we add spacers at the butt and cheek risers on the combs .
nutcracker, I had a synthetic Crown that I mounted a quick disconnect swivel to the side of the buttstock about midway vertical and about 1 inch from the butt. It worked out well. When shouldering the rifle the side mount made the rifle lay flat on its side against my back. The FX stock is soft so use long screws.

You’re the first with the 500mm barrel to report. I would think you should get that kind of velocity on 110 bar with this new valve and the 500mm barrel. FX advertises 60 shots out of the 500mm barrel length In .22. Let’s hope your reg preasure is too high. Your from europe , is your plentum the solid sub 12 ?
