Why do you still shoot springers?

What strikes me the most about the design of these guns harkens back to the time of their inception. It was a time when tools , machinery and implements of everyday necessity were constructed out of the best quality materials with the mindset of it giving the consumer many years of service. That...

Well said... and beautiful rifles I might add.

    Airgun owners vs firearm owners

I've always been attracted to anything that launched a projectile. You name it, bb/pellet guns, sling shots, traditional archery (never bought into compounds) all kinds of PBrs, rifles, pistols and shotguns. As many have pointed out ammo cost and availability became problematic. I've sold most...

    HW35 or HW50

Well previously in this thread on page 1 I posted this remark... "So many guns and so little time, I'm sticking with my tried-and-true HW30s Deluxe in 177 and my HW50s in 20 caliber." I must confess to picking up a 35 on AoA's pre-owned site in .177. It came with the standard open sites and...

Welcome to the forum Steve. I don't own an airgun with a output of over 12 fpe. It's not by mandate or choice for that matter but rather what I like to shoot. I'm not fond of lugging around heavy guns and enjoy the simplicity of the spring-piston power plant. I don't hunt much but have had to...

    HW/Weihrauch New Rifle Day

I can't tell you how many times I've had that itch but I usually see something else I always wanted. Last time I ended up grabbing a HW35 instead. Happy for you.

    N/A Their story

In the beginning of this hobby I only bought new but in recent years I've begun to aquire out of production guns on the pre-owned market. What I enjoy most is that it gives me the opportunity to pickup one that I either didn't have the way or means to in the past. I have more than few now and...

used lead, cleaning out pellet traps.

I use to have a friend who was into civil war re-enactment. He was always looking for soft lead resources. He unfortunately passed away years ago but I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to make contact with like minded folks.

If you could only have 1 springer air rifle, what would you choose?

If I read this post a few months ago I would have said my HW50s in .20 cal. However since that time I have acquired a HW35 in .177 and have become quite fond of that positive breech lock. So my vote would be for the 35.

    Air Handgun Recommendation

I have a good bakers dozen of air pistols but the two that I get to use most often are the umarex Buck Mark and the Crosman PSM45. The Buck Mark is a pellet gun and the Crosman a bb... and both are springers which for me is the best part. I keep them in my workshop and I will take a few shots...

Wrist bands as pellet tin retainer

It's sad to say but certain postal service hubs (not all) are a big contributor to those sort of problems.
