I’d be more inclined to think that any leak during the shot cycle would be coming from the barrel o-ring or transfer port seal. Try laying a tissue over the loading area (no clip) and dry fire your PRod. If the tissue lifts off the receiver I’d replace the barrel O-ring, if it just kind of...

I have a few air pistols .177 - .45 cal but more of these than any other. 7 last count and will add another when the rite opportunity presents itself. I guess that constitutes a favorite even if I don’t shoot them as often as some others.

Since the majority of my air guns are vintage pumpers - most are .22, some .177, but I really like my sheridans, so .20 for them. There is even a .25 in the mix.

Are you talking the Crosman pistol conversion (this is what I have) or Brigand rifle? Either one though, didn’t Dennis cut the .375 rifling specific for round ball shooting?

Shot my Benjamin 422 in the basement. Limiting myself to 5 pellets max in the mag to avoid feed issues.
