    Tuning ARH black tar ?

Regardless of how well fitting the guide is, I use a VERY light coat of the heavy tar on the OD of the spring. Do not “butter” the spring with this. Or it will be temperature sensitive. Just a very thin coat enough to break the metal to metal contact. I believe ‘velocity tar’ was for the...

Tuning Who else enjoys breaking in their springers instead of tuning?

My spring guns all have Maccari kits, except my R1 which currently has a modified Laser kit. Life is too short for a gun that goes “sprrrronnnnk”. Besides I like making my guns better than they arrived from the factory. That is why I replace the sloppy fitting spring guide/spring and replace...

Diana Shout out to David Slade/ Airgunwerks

I had Dave do a trigger tune on my R10. To quote Barbara Streisand “it’s like buttah” Will definitely utilize his services again!

N/A Lubrication of the compression chamber without dieseling in the spring gun, yes of course.

Good points. My springers have hardened nickel plated pistons and or buttons on the piston. Edit: My RX1 has been working well since 1994 and has never been lubricated internally. Cocks smooth as glass so i assume all is well internally. Although I don’t shoot it much these days. Just a few...

N/A Lubrication of the compression chamber without dieseling in the spring gun, yes of course.

Moly on the sides of the piston seal (don’t get any on the face of the seal or it will diesel) is the tried and true method of lubricating the piston seal. Proven over many years. The only way I have gotten my springers to be truly accurate is to remove all factory grease and use moly on the...

    Beeman Beeman R10 Carbine

.177. I have a .22k barrel I bought 20 years ago that every once in a while I think I should try on it, but it shoots so well now that I don’t want to risk messing it up.

    Beeman Beeman R10 Carbine

Agree, these are great guns, I have had mine since early 90’s. Mine has a Maccari “black tarantula” kit and seal. No twang or vibration. Not even my RX1 shot cycle is as smooth. Incredible gun.

Another Fun Shooter Beeman 250 (Diana Model 45) cleaned up and refreshed

If it were me, i would probably try to finish the sanded part with boiled linseed oil or tru oil. Then even if it didn’t match perfectly, you could see where Doc B applied his handy work. And the gun could be used in the field. Pretty cool that Dr B put this kind of time and thought into...

    Diana Diana(RWS) Model 45 walnut

Nice looking gun! Appears to be a great shape especially after being man-handled by your friend.

    Beeman RX 1

Those look awesome. I always wanted one of the Beeman RX1 walnut stocks they sold back in the day. My .20 cal RX1 has taken out many squirrels and pigeons. Crow magnum pellets were deadly in this gun. I Bought this gun in the early 90’s and is still going strong. Although I don’t shoot it...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50S 125 year Limited Edition

I think the stock looks pretty cool with the laminate. Better than their current beech stock. Not a huge fan of laser etching, but I guess that is the future. Anyways looks to be a nice piece of equipment. Enjoy!

    Sheridan Sheridan Benjamin Silver Streak Transition Pieces F9 - 397G - 392G CO2 Nickel

Very cool. I have a transition model 392G with the Racine address. Surprisingly accurate and the trigger is pretty good once the “lawyer spring” is removed.

HW/Weihrauch The Old Beeman to Weihrauch ?¿?

R1=HW80 R10=HW85 (not the current HW85 which is the same cheapened version of the R10 as the HW95) R9=HW95 R8=HW50S (not the current HW50S which is the cheapened version of the R8) R7=HW30 R6=HW99 (now called HW50S) RX1=HW90 P1=HW45

    Diana Out with the old

I had a 52 back in the early 90’s. It was accurate, powerful and was a perfect gun for me in light of the magnumitis I had at the time. The only issue I had was the sliding piston/breach started galling. That and the plastic trigger and end cap was kind of a buzz kill. I believe these are now...

    Beeman Beeman R1 history question

My R1 also had a Maccari kit it which I loved. Don’t even need a spring compressor to remove. Unfortunately the older I get, the more pain I am getting in my shoulders/arm, so I wanted a spring that is easier to cock. So that is why I put the laser spring back in.
