    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

Thanks appreciate the lead, but I only have a casual interest in acquiring one of these and mostly as nostalgia to round out my R series collection. Don’t really want to negotiate too much, it’s more of a if I see one and the price is right would buy it kind of thing. Good luck with the one...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

just checked the old Beeman catalogs, looks like the R6 (HW99) was released in 1995/1996 and billed as an economical gun for the whole family. The R8 was still listed and the R10 was now gone. So it appears Weirauch discontinued the HW85 and HW50’s around 1995 and replaced them with the HW95...

HW/Weihrauch One out, one left to sell and one incoming. That's my last air rifle. For real this time.

I have a .177 P1 and never use the low power for reasons outlined above. I have shot many many thousands of rounds thru it. And can attest it takes a while to be able to shoot it with any reasonable degree of accuracy. Currently it has an ARH “arctic spring” and the factory spring guide which...

Diana Diana 34 barrel's detent ball?

Maybe it’s just the camera angle, but that ball detent looks like it’s staked in too far. Perhaps some shade tree mechanic re-worked it at some point?

    HW/Weihrauch "New" limited edition HW50

To further confuse things, the HW 50 was discontinued around 1995. So it was made for ~ 45 years. Its replacement was the HW 99 (later renamed HW 50). So this gun is only celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Have you found that “ One Airgun”?

For me Beeman R8. Relatively light weight, extremely accurate, easy to cock and fun to shoot. No fuss, no muss and very little maintenance. My CO2s, pumpers, and high powered springers mostly gather dust these days.

    Well im out ...

That $639 price does seem a little brisk. I’m glad I’m no longer in the market for new airguns. However I bought a brand new Beeman R10 (very similar to R9) for $300 back in 1993. Factor in inflation and that is $667 today.

    HW/Weihrauch Lube for the spring.

I had my R10 rebuilt by Beemans back in the 90’s and they used their spring gel which is what I believe is red’n tacky. As you said, shot cycle was great….for a while. Then began dieseling. (I did shoot in fairly high heat summer months here in northern IL). I had no choice but to rebuild it...

Beeman Complete Beeman 20th Anniversary Collection

Very cool! I still shoot my R1 20th anniversary on occasion. I have taken many pigeons, squirrels, and a crow with it.

    HW35 any good?

    Aging like a fine wine!

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

perhaps it was triggered off and the previous owner put on a different barrel? Or bent the barrel back. For what it’s worth, here is a video of Paul Watts fixing an R7 that was triggered off and bent the breach forks up slightly.

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

I thought maybe it was triggered off and the forks got bent, but looking at the other pics they seem fine.

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

it looks like something may have happened to the breech jaws. Notice the way the light reflects differently where it meets the spring cylinder? Not sure if this has anything to do with the barrel droop or not.

    HW35 any good?

Thanks, that’s my thoughts also. But still not sure I understand why there are two sets of numbers for each shot. IE on shot 1 it says: 0965-01-0959
