My TX 200 loves the inexpensive Crossman 14.3 gr. pellets you can buy at Walmart. It will shoot dime size groups out to 30 yds. That is as far as I can shoot in my back yard.

The TX200 and the HW97K are exceptional springer air rifles and either one would provide you years of dependable shooting enjoyment. A lot of folks appreciate their established quality. That is why I own one of each and enjoy shooting each equally.

Very nice looking gun. Being an ole retired cabinet maker I really like pretty wood. I just put a Vortek tune kit in my TX200. Like you I thought it shot good with the factory stuff but the tune kit made me really like the way the gun shoots even better. Enjoy your new toy!

Thank you for the kind replies. They are both .22 caliber and shoot well using the same pellets. I would like to find a good break barrel when I get my slush fund built back up. That will probably take awhile.
