My new Air Arms TX200 in .22

My TX 200 loves the inexpensive Crossman 14.3 gr. pellets you can buy at Walmart. It will shoot dime size groups out to 30 yds. That is as far as I can shoot in my back yard.

Questions on the air arms tx200 mk3

The TX200 and the HW97K are exceptional springer air rifles and either one would provide you years of dependable shooting enjoyment. A lot of folks appreciate their established quality. That is why I own one of each and enjoy shooting each equally.

Questions on the air arms tx200 mk3

I have a TX200 MK III and have not had any issues. The safety not engaging is most likely not getting the gun cocked completely. The rubber buffer is a minor issue and can be easily resolved with care or rubber o-rings. I did have some spring vibration as most do with the original spring, so I...

Wife fell down rabbit hole and doesn’t shoot

Very nice collection of Air Arms springers. Is there much difference in the TX200 MK III and the TX200 HC in how they perform?

Lose an old friend and gain a new one

Very nice looking gun. Being an ole retired cabinet maker I really like pretty wood. I just put a Vortek tune kit in my TX200. Like you I thought it shot good with the factory stuff but the tune kit made me really like the way the gun shoots even better. Enjoy your new toy!

Installed the new steel PG4 Vortek HO tune kit in my TX200.

AirShot, Yes it is a .22. I am sorry but I do not have a chronograph so I don't know the velocity. It seems to be shooting a little harder over the stock spring I had in but I can't tell for certain. I wish I did have a chronograph so I could see the deviation in 10 consecutive shots. ...

Installed the new steel PG4 Vortek HO tune kit in my TX200.

I have had my TX200 MKIII for a little over a month and although I liked the way it shot, I decided to install the new steel PG4 Vortek high output tune kit. I shot the gun after installing it yesterday and have been shooting it today. I have decided now I really love the way it shoots. I can...

My tumble down the rabbit hole

OH my, and I thought I had it bad. I depleted my slush fund in short order and have to put the brakes on now, at least until I get the slush fund built back up.

Just saying hello. New guy here! 😬

Welcome! I am fairly new myself. Since I joined I have received much needed help from knowledgeable individuals willing to aid a novice such as me. I am afraid like many others here I have become somewhat addicted to or obsessed with airgun shooting. Trying to regain self-control though. :)

My newest acquisitions have depleted my slush fund.

Several months back I sold my camper and purchased a storage building. I have built a front porch, insulated, paneled, and installed an AC in the storage building and turned part of it into my little work shop and man cave. I suppose I could stay out there but there is no bathroom. :) It will...

My newest acquisitions have depleted my slush fund.

Nature of the wood. All the irregular figure stops in the grip area of the stock. There is a little bit on the receiver section on the other side of the gun but after that the grain all turns straight. That is what is great about wood stocks. Each one is different. Finding one with that much...

My newest acquisitions have depleted my slush fund.

Thank you for the kind replies. They are both .22 caliber and shoot well using the same pellets. I would like to find a good break barrel when I get my slush fund built back up. That will probably take awhile.

My newest acquisitions have depleted my slush fund.

I realize you guys have seen hundreds of photos of other folks guns and I am sure some of you get tired of us newbies posting our new acquisitions, but we just want to share our excitement. So here is a photo of my two newest. They both are terrific shooters and I believe I enjoy shooting both...

Some pics of my new AA Pro Sport walnut stock

Yes, I saw your reply. Was disappointed because I was hoping it was commercially available. I would really like to have one on mine. I know the gun is fairly quiet but wish it were a bit quitter and with the short barrel it looks good too. I love shooting the rifle.

Which scope is on your tx 200...

I have an Athlon Argos 6-24X50 generation 1 on mine and I like it. I got the scope at a very good price. I like the Vortex Diamondback 6-24X50 and have it on my PCP gun. I would have got it but as I said I got the Athlon at a very good price. I have the same scope except a generation 2 on my HW97K.

    TX200 MKIII Pellet Suggestions

I have had good success with the Crosman 14.3 hallow point, Benjamin Discovery 14.3 hallow point, RWS Superpoint Extra 14.5, and Napier Power Target 15.46. These all shoot good from my TX200. I have shot some H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66 with fair success as well.
