The screws hold the adjustment knob on only. If they are loose it is loose. I’ll try a tiny bit of the blue thread lock.

The pin walks out now and didn’t before. Murphy’s Law states there is a 99.5% chance that it will fall out in tall grass. EDIT: On attempt 746 while clenching my tongue between my teeth in exactly the right way the clip clicked onto the pin. I think.

The screws are secure.

The mounts did not appear to shift when yanked hard. The screws are locked down. There is no sign on the surrounding metal that the rail is shifting.
