    Threadlock for scope turret screws

The screws hold the adjustment knob on only. If they are loose it is loose. I’ll try a tiny bit of the blue thread lock.

    Threadlock for scope turret screws

The Hawke scope I recently got has two tiny Philips head screws holding the turret adjustment knobs to the scope. They shoot loose in a stupidly short time on a springer. Is it OK to use blue threadlock on them?

JB Weld saves the day. Again.

I have an inexpensive 4x6 belt/6 inch disc sander that is many years old. The drive pulley is polymer and is fitted to the drive axle with a spline. The pulley teeth stripped out and rendered the machine useless. The pulley is out of production so I cleaned everything up with a wire brush and...

    Bug Buster Killer

To finish this thread as I hate when things are left hanging, I got a ARH GRT.MK2 rebuild kit and piston seal and using a homemade spring compressor I rebuilt the rifle. There is now a notable difference in both the sound and feel of the compression stroke and discharge of the rifle. The Hawke...

    Lead

Lead is being demonized by the TPTB in order to control ammunition. Compared to other environmental hazards such as pesticides or for that matter artificial sweeteners and statin drugs expended bullets are way down the list of actual risk to humans. TPTB are weaponizing the EPA as an end-around...

    Spring compressor

The pin walks out now and didn’t before. Murphy’s Law states there is a 99.5% chance that it will fall out in tall grass. EDIT: On attempt 746 while clenching my tongue between my teeth in exactly the right way the clip clicked onto the pin. I think.

    Spring compressor

@jmsdad It’s inside this piece: On the center of the pin there is a groove. I’m assuming that is the insert point.

    Spring compressor

@Feinwerk @Mo-Ron Thanks. If you click on the photo it should enlarge. It does on my browser. Copy away. I saw the basic design online somewhere and happened to have an ancient steering wheel puller stashed in my tool chest. If anyone is looking to build one the steering wheel puller part number...

How to mount a tactical flashlight on a Benjamin Marauder .22 caliber rifle

A clamp on rail. The one below is only one of many. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Weaver-Picatinny-Adapter-Converter/dp/B079RFRDL8/ref=sr_1_23?crid=1ZRIDEOD1OTY8&keywords=clamp+on+picatinny&qid=1660005700&s=sporting-goods&sprefix=clamp+on+picatinny%2Csporting%2C83&sr=1-23

I got into airguns for pesting. My job appears to be done.

I got nearly 60 Starlings this year before my rifle decided to shoot more like a musket. They were mobbing the suet and feeders. After June they were few and far between. I haven't seen one a week and when they see me they are gone. The few that are left are the smartest of the flock. I'm afraid...

Unfortunately reviewers on Amazon say that the Hawke 2-7 scopes are not suitable for that mount.

The mounts did not appear to shift when yanked hard. The screws are locked down. There is no sign on the surrounding metal that the rail is shifting.

I don’t know what the issue is. I’ve considered replacing the spring but haven’t done anything yet but the breech seal.

    Changes in RWS 34 T05-T06

@Bear-of-Grayling The one I used today was a gem. The low shots were my first four with that rifle and trigger. The next 16 are that big hole. 15 yards.

    Changes in RWS 34 T05-T06

I had a chance to use a friend's 34 today. His is marked 2017. Mine was purchased sometime between 2005-2010 to the best of my recollection. His fore stock is approximately 3 inches longer and is much better for shooting from a rest. His sights are fiber optic and superior to my plain iron...

    Accessing RWS Lifetime Warranty

I did a search here and with Google and can't seem to find information about this warranty and who services it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Has anyone attempted to use it successfully? Thanks.
