Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

A pretty level headed conversation. I hadn't thought about possible across the board price raises, regardless of country of origin, to help mitigate higher prices on some products. Reasonable.

Calculating mil dot reticle holdover in Hawke 2-7x

Hi all, I just picked up a Vantage IR 2-7x32 AO with a mil dot reticle. My understanding is that the mill dot reticle on Hawke scopes would be accurate at 10x. Am I correct in thinking then, that I would need to multiply the mil values I get in chair gun by 0.7 if the scope is at 7x zoom...

Hawke 2-7x32 AO IR - Mil Dot Reticle visibility

I picked up the IR version of the 2-7x34 AO. I like the reticle, seems just about right for my purposes. Not too fine, not super coarse. Seems like a nice scope for the price.

Any experiences with Hawke 2-7x32 ao IR?

@Elgreco I am considering this scope for my Taipan .25 compact for squirrel/rabbit/(maybe one day iguana?) hunting. From your pictures, it looks like the reticle isn't extremely fine, which is what I am looking for: want a reticle I can pick out easily, since it won't be used at particularly...

Hawke 2-7x32 AO IR - Mil Dot Reticle visibility

There is a Vantage IR 2-7x32 AO with a Mil Dot https://us.hawkeoptics.com/vantage-ir-2-7x32-ao-mil-dot-ir.html This is the one I was referencing. It sounds like you are saying it will have a finer reticle because the IR reticles are etched? And the non-IR will be a bit wider?

Hawke 2-7x32 AO IR - Mil Dot Reticle visibility

I certainly agree there are applications for a FFP, I am thinking a SFP will be better for this particular gun/use case.

Hawke 2-7x32 AO IR - Mil Dot Reticle visibility

Hi all. I used my Westhunter 3-12 FFP on my Taipan .25 Compact for a while, and realized I pretty much have only been using it on 12x for shooting pest birds out my windows. I want to use the compact for squirrels this fall, and also will be using it for rabbits in the yard that like to nibble...

FX FX DRS Classic V2 - Wish List

Maybe their next iteration of the DRS Tactical could have a stock tube that holds air. It would not be compatible with standard AR parts, but it would be a way to add air capacity while maintaining the DRS's goal of feeling like a rifle, without the extra tube or bottle.

FX FX DRS Classic V2 - Wish List

A 380-400mm barrel version for those who aren't trying to wring out power but like something nice and short would be very cool. They did it with the Panthera, maybe they could give us a DRS Compact Hunter as a fourth option. If they did though, it probably wouldn't be compatible with previous...

FX FX DRS Classic V2 - Wish List

Hold on, you are saying the DRS is supposed to cost $2k?

    FX FX Leopard

Maybe after they have sat in inventory for long enough they will knock a little off the price... I wonder: Is the ARCA rail on these the same as the Panthera? Would the Panthera Compact Hunter rail fit?

    FX FX Leopard

If I was going to get one of these, I would be tempted to get a 500 and put the rail on it, along with a Donny FL FX mod. I would end up being about the same length as the 600.

    fx drs issues

I don't have one, but I bet it is WAY too nicely balanced since the barrel is nestled down into the stock instead of perched on top of an air tank.

    Barn Gun

Added a riser and got the Zulus where it is much more comfortable. This bumped it up a bit, of course, so I added a cheek riser to the magpul stock It is nearly ready to go now, just need to zero it and establish pellet path from a few yards out to 30.
