Well, your post gave me some thoughts and for sure, a lower tanks pressure should make the regulator's life easier. Regarding the poppet valve, this one is downstream the regulator and only "sees" the regulated pressure, doesn't it? I am discovering how efficient this rifle is with its air...

Hi. Question: my .22 Avenger is set at regulator 2,000psi and hammer spring fully CCW (0). That pushes a JSB 18.13 at 904fps MV and a 15.89 at 938. Steve at AEAC has his "Pro Tune" at 2,500 and HS 2.5CW. Anyone can explain this difference?? By the way, I've double-checked with a second...

Anyone with good/bad results? I'm most interested in hearing about slugs. 

I've been messing with jet engines for nearly 40 years where temperatures and pressures stresses are quite significant. I have not heard anything regarding the "Avenger Gen 1" working pressure. Has anyone info regarding this??

Anyone cares to share some pellet results? On my side, and as of right now, my rifle seems to like the JSB Jumbo 15.89gr the best at 895fps MV. Regulator just short of 1,800psi and hammer spring all backed off. That gives me a 40yd far zero (all my air rifles are set for a +/- .25" kill-zone)...

I work every day with high performance, very high temperatures, engines and it's mandatory to let them get on temperature and cool down slowly after usage. The enemy here is not excessive temperatures but mechanical stress induced by parts at much different temperatures. Just had a little test...

Forgot to ask: in the tuning process of my Avenger, I noticed that the hammer spring setting was at minimum at factory setting. I could only turn it clockwise a little over 2-1/2 turn. I heard on some youtube videos that its total range should be around 5ish turns. When I try to go CCW below its...
