I should clarify I had the laminate stock. If the chassis version is much lighter that my be the one to get.

I remember years ago laminate stocks were considered nothing special....scrap wood glued to make a plank to make a stock. Lower cost to walnut. Go figure. 

Does anyone else have a hard time swallowing the difference in price between a synetheic stock and a laminate? $400. Kills me when a decent Boyd's is $150. Wonder if they could offer them?
