    HW/Weihrauch Ring modification

Your original setup only needed a .279 degree (16 moa) adjustment. That would be very hard to eyeball. A magnetic bore sighter may be useful to get your scope rings locked in. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/sightmark-magnetic-universal-boresighter?a=483871 For your 30 yard zero...

    HW/Weihrauch Ring modification

How do we know it’s always the gun and never the scope rings? Does anyone know what the tolerances are on scope rings? For scope rings placed 4” apart a height difference of .0233 inches will result in a 20 moa shift. This could be a result of loose tolerances like +\- .010 and +\- 1/2 degree...

    N/A Spring Press

I tested a used hw97 spring (14.5 fpe .177 with 1000 shots on it) and it took 59 pounds to compress it 2”.

    N/A Spring Press

I am going to upgrade my dovetail attachment at some point and I am going to look into Hooke’s Law. Thanks for the information.

    N/A Spring Press

The bottom line is every spring compressor pictured above gets the job done. We are only dealing with preloaded springs and not fully compressed springs here folks. I built my compressor to be a height adjustable version of the Air Venturi. Each 5mm (thread diameter) rail clamp screw on my...

    N/A Spring Press

For alignment and safety purposes I milled a flat on the back side of the threaded rod post. It allows the set screw to clock the threaded rod and won’t allow it to rotate.

    N/A Spring Press

The wood and sawed off C clamp spring compressors seem to be the most common. The c clamp is nice because you can unscrew it really fast. The threaded rod types take a lot of turning. It don’t really take much screw pressure to get the job done. If you can weld and drill and tap holes you can...

Crosman Thought id share my 1966 Powermaster 760

Cool gun I’m glad you found one. My dad had one from the early to mid 70’s I think. It had plastic stocks instead of wood and all metal. Dad threw it out when it quit holding air.

There’s nothing like plinking with a lever gun.

    N/A Springer Accuracy?

The term “target accuracy” is ambiguous. This may be the first time I’ve ever seen or heard it used in a sentence. Maybe “target accuracy” is the accuracy one achieves from the shooting bench.

    N/A (Help) My HW97K won't cock.

I had the won’t latch issue with my hw97 and it was because I put two power washers in it with a vortek 12 foot pound kit. It latches with one washer but not with two.

    HW/Weihrauch HW80 K long range hunter

I’ve had a Weihrauch hw50 .22 lemon before. It was putting out less than 9 fpe straight out of the box according to the included chrony tape and verified by my chrony. It vibrated so bad I could not keep a scope on it because it would shear off stop pins! I tore it down and discovered a broken...

That’s a sweet looking stock. I would like to hear about accuracy, shot cycle, trigger, and velocity. Have fun breaking in your new rifle.
