I'm having a very hard time finding a moderator for my .357 carbine. It's a DAQ. I've found a slip-on adapter with the standard 1/2 x 20 threads but can't find a moderator itself. Any suggestions on where to shop? So far, all the companies I've found online only seem to go up to .30. I know...

Excellent points. I hadn't thought of the lever getting in the way when shooting from a rest. I mostly shoot off hand, but do use a rest sometimes. And I am very new to this: have never tried a side lever. I find your arguments in favor of that format pretty strong. I will have to consider that...

This does help. Will look at that Career or Sumatra as well. The Vectis is attractive for the price and, as you said PumaCarl, no need to baby it at that price. There are so many makes I still have never heard of even after a couple of years browsing Pyramyd and this site.

I've had the best luck with traditional spring traps and cheese. I kill about twelve rats per year with Victor spring traps. I've tried hunting them with my break barrel but there is so much brush and cover around my place I never get a shot...and I haven't yet made the time to set up a bait...
