Call me whatever, but if anyone asks to shoot my Crow Magnum, I will break the barrel, load the pellet and hand the rifle like he is a new shooter, pointing to a safe direction. Some folks I know treat air guns as if they are toys.
I agree on the samples giving a ballpark. Those in the target/competition world, I think, would be going the route of the benchrest shooters and buy/swage the most consistent pellets/slugs for their use.
Just for Info: there used to be a site called "Straight Shooters" (folks that were running the place have since retired) had pellet samplers for .177 and .22
Update: Replaced the "transfer hose" and holding 100 bar of air. Will monitor and if pressure holds up at 250 bar, I will consider this problem solved.
I believe the problem started with removing under pressure. My theory, the aluminum threads "stretched" when removed. A few times of remove/replace eventually caused results. I should note - tube was a little loose when I was threading it back on. Should have stopped at that point. Lesson learned.
First trouble happened when I was trying to fix a leak. I removed the "tank" with some pressure still in the tank. Fast forward to Monday and I really did it. I'll get photos and post later.
Just an update for those who may still be interested, I got the replacement hose from Tony at Talon Tunes. Modified a 14mm wrench. My tank is being tested and will be filled. As soon as I get all things in line, I hope to get this going.
I was wondering about the conversion because I messed up the tank/regulator assembly (could NOT leave well enough alone) so I am looking to replace the assembly. Hope I can get the factory replacement.
