Many years ago I needed a rear sight. Made this work with an older RWS pistol rear sight and a trimmed nozzle from a silicon caulk tube. Made the charging handle lefty friendly too. Dave

Just found this topic. I have used a pipe cutter to choke a Crosman 2260 barrel 7/16" by cutting off little more than half an inch at the end. Then dressing and recrowning the barrel. This method sounds severe for a springer barrel. It did improve the accuracy in that application. Dave

Locktite or a star washer is preferred when securing the frame to the tube. A loose screw can make the gun unsafe and allow the sear to slip off the hammer. Those screws rarely cause trouble with a break, though the head gets damaged easily. That's why everyone fixated on the front breech screw...

Hang in there. I'm sure with the proper technique you can make it work. Hold it close to your body when closing and be careful of pinch points and clothing.
