Just found this topic. I have used a pipe cutter to choke a Crosman 2260 barrel 7/16" by cutting off little more than half an inch at the end. Then dressing and recrowning the barrel. This method sounds severe for a springer barrel. It did improve the accuracy in that application. Dave

Locktite or a star washer is preferred when securing the frame to the tube. A loose screw can make the gun unsafe and allow the sear to slip off the hammer. Those screws rarely cause trouble with a break, though the head gets damaged easily. That's why everyone fixated on the front breech screw...

Hang in there. I'm sure with the proper technique you can make it work. Hold it close to your body when closing and be careful of pinch points and clothing.

The newest crosman target rifle version sells from $650 on up new. I bought a used ex.con. Crosman 2009 a few years ago for $350 with a hardcase and no sights. Start high and drop the price till it sells if you have the time. Ebay scares me because I don't really know how much they are soaking...

I usually switch the safety on the pistol from right to left. (Lefty) Figure out where the ball sits on the safety when it is positioned off. Cut a notch for the ball to slip into. Make it a shallow notch. Dave
