does powder coating slow big bore ammo down

I played a little with it on bullets for my 257. It didn't seem worth the trouble. I use bike chain wax on soft lead with no sizing. I don't claim to be an expert. I just bought a 257 Texan and a lead pot when I retired at about the same time it came out with the goal learn bullet casting and...

Airforce Anyone shoot the new Altaros 84 grain 257 slugs through their Texan? ATP KING .257

I cast my own. I have been wondering hue else is shooting one. The price to operate in terms of air and ammo was the reason for my choice. On your typical sat at my range there are at least several long-range powder burners blasting away at 100 and I have the 200 all to myself with my 257 and...

Texanss .510 cal has rattle in tank and won’t hold air

Order the parts to rebuild it yourself. I did and it's not hard. I also improved the flow of air by porting and polishing the replacement part.

    Air Venturi Avenger .25

I have one that I bought from a friend that had lots of upgrades with port mod , hill hammer system with an internal huma. The max speed was 872 with the rest waisted. The huma spacer is enough plenum for a speed of 855 with the 25s and is a very sweet gun. You are only going to get so...

Daystate Heliboard tune. What have I got?

Thank you It is 22, high power ranges are 2106, 2325, 2532, 2571 which is pretty much the same as my friend's high power. I called AOA and they said it was tuned by them to shoot the 25grs. At middle voltage too fast. I lowered the voltage on #9 and got the speed down to just under 1000 with...

Daystate Heliboard tune. What have I got?

Thanks I just sent off a message and will try to be hopeful. I'm saying that because I know that being 72 and not tec savvy I will be the weakest link in that operation. But what about that 1700 pulse range? Was it just some big damn oop? Does anyone think that is a magic number and for...

Daystate Heliboard tune. What have I got?

I bought a used Redwolf. Nice gun. my question is about the power ranges. the four in the middle are all in the mid1700 range. The rest correspond with my friends helliboard. I intended to shoot the 25 grs, but the range looks more like 18s instead. Putting it back to the original looks...

You get what you pay for ATP

The regulator I use for my Texan started to leak after helping me throw enough lead I didn't begrudge it. It was still under warranty, they were great, and I got it back faster than expected.

    Other Big bore airgun accuracy

buy a good springer, you can practice fifty times more. Shooting my HW97 at 50 feels like my Texan at 200. The hang time feels close. My Texan never shot well until I tuned it the way I treat a spring gun.

At what distance do you typically shoot your airgun?

t The wind at my range determines my distances The wind is cleaner at 200 than 100. I can play in the wind with a 12 ftp but will be frustrated at 50 or 100 with a more powerful air rifle because of the foliage. So, 200 with my FX and 257 texan then 30 with a good springer.

My new Texan .257 LSS setup for 200 yards

I'm glad to see other people shooting the257. My problem is it's so much fun to shoot I forget about the tuning. I use the same slugs as well as ones from the arsenal 85 gr spitzer mold which works out well because of the weight. I was shooting at about 970 but went up to your speed and like it...

    Diana tunable barrel weight

Does anyone know where I could order one for my 54? They don't show up on the parts list. Thanks

    AF Texan .457 LSS

That makes it always safety maybe removing the spring and piece it presses against would work but I would put it back like it was. the Rekord trigger is the gold standard. It is square, the HW 97 trigger is the same which which allows the space for a mechanical advantages in the sears you...

    AF Texan .457 LSS

That piece is controlled by the safety bar that was removed. It blocks the sears from moving which releases the hammer. I would put the safety back in.

Air Arms TX200HC .177 Cal, Performance & Maintenance Review

I think I only shot mine four times before I took my new gun apart because of the grinding noise. Luckily the TB tune kit got here before the rifle. People in the back room of a Pakistani village gun shop wouldn't have claimed that piston and there were enough burs inside to tear it up even...
