You get what you pay for ATP

The regulator I use for my Texan started to leak after helping me throw enough lead I didn't begrudge it. It was still under warranty, they were great, and I got it back faster than expected.

    Other Big bore airgun accuracy

buy a good springer, you can practice fifty times more. Shooting my HW97 at 50 feels like my Texan at 200. The hang time feels close. My Texan never shot well until I tuned it the way I treat a spring gun.

At what distance do you typically shoot your airgun?

t The wind at my range determines my distances The wind is cleaner at 200 than 100. I can play in the wind with a 12 ftp but will be frustrated at 50 or 100 with a more powerful air rifle because of the foliage. So, 200 with my FX and 257 texan then 30 with a good springer.

My new Texan .257 LSS setup for 200 yards

I'm glad to see other people shooting the257. My problem is it's so much fun to shoot I forget about the tuning. I use the same slugs as well as ones from the arsenal 85 gr spitzer mold which works out well because of the weight. I was shooting at about 970 but went up to your speed and like it...

    AF Texan .457 LSS

That makes it always safety maybe removing the spring and piece it presses against would work but I would put it back like it was. the Rekord trigger is the gold standard. It is square, the HW 97 trigger is the same which which allows the space for a mechanical advantages in the sears you...

    AF Texan .457 LSS

That piece is controlled by the safety bar that was removed. It blocks the sears from moving which releases the hammer. I would put the safety back in.

Air Arms TX200HC .177 Cal, Performance & Maintenance Review

I think I only shot mine four times before I took my new gun apart because of the grinding noise. Luckily the TB tune kit got here before the rifle. People in the back room of a Pakistani village gun shop wouldn't have claimed that piston and there were enough burs inside to tear it up even...

    Huma rebuild help

Thanks for the advice. It gave me a chance for a fresh look. It turns out I wasn't smart enough to make a technical mistake. My rebuild was perfect. I was so zoned into the reg I forgot about the Oring on the base of the plenum. Without It will work when you first fill it but not when you drain...

    Huma rebuild help

I have been trying to rebuild my reg for my marauder but am not having much success. It will set to a level and stay that way over night. When I shoot it down and refill it stops working and goes up to 3000. I really like this rifle. It has a TJ barrel, the hill kit and the port enlarged. When...

Rocky Mountain Precision Airguns AirForce Triggers

Polishing the top of the trigger and were it rubs on the piece inside and cutting off some of the spring will improve it. Another thing you can do is take the hammer out and polish the ends' Thats were the most friction is and is harder than the sear it rubs against. If you have the trigger...

    What to buy?? PCP...

How far are you shooting? I have an R7 and if you shoot at 15 to 30 yards in your back yard it is all you need. If you shoot out to 50 a TX 200 or a97 Which reminds me of the ugly part of pcp ,air source. What part of that money would go to that. Besides those I have an fx mk3 as well as a 257...

Which compressor in the $1,500 range?

I generally top off a half hour tank from 3000 to 4200 twice a week. I"M thinking Omega as well so far. The basic model looks good for less but without some features.

Which compressor in the $1,500 range?

Another thing a Texan rifle will kill is a yong heng. I am in the process taking parts of one to keep the second one going so it is time to look for an upgrade. Speed is not a priority. Some I have seen like a yong heng with a lot of bells and Wisels fastened on top. What I am looking for...

    Texan valve rebuild

Thanks One thing I forgot to ad is the hammer spring adjustment. There is a thick tar like grease that is used to quiet the spring. I put some on the threads to make a little resistance ,polished the ends of the spring and hammer. Now it doesn't float around and no longer feels like junk. Just...

    Texan valve rebuild

You are rite about the trigger. The sear on the trigger is about all you can do. The valve rebuild went well my spread was reduced.

    Texan valve rebuild

Thanks My mane guns are springers and if something slides past another thing I polish it. I didn't expect much from going into the trigger other than not having to wait for the pieces to grind together.

    Texan valve rebuild

I've been looking for instructions on how to drain the bottle and remove the valve so I can rebuild it. Any help would be apricated. Compared to the other brands I have worked on the texans seems like a waste land. I gave up on finding info on the trigger long ago .

My FX in 22 shooting with a rimfire.

I own an FX in 22. There is a serious 22 rimfire shooter at my range and I would like to ask this question. What do you think would be the distance the Vegas handicappers would spot me at 50yd to make it a contest? No slug claims please. I shoot pellets and yes we have wind.
