    New to the Group

Beeman has imported many brands at different levels of quality over the years. Comparisons firmly depend on which models. Glad you like your latest acquisition, welcome.

DeadEye review of the new target design from LexingtonAirguns.com

Nice review. Did you test it at higher power and close range yet? give the faceplate some real hard rattles and such.

    What is your effective range?

You're not killing things with head shots at 100y taking offhand shots with an airgun. As for me, knowing my very average field target standing scores, I'd stick to 15y on a 1" kill zone. And 80% would be tough.

I'm calling BullS×÷T on Artillery Hold

My method for holding a springer is to shoot on a target with excellent contrast from the reticle and watch the movement of the reticle against the target/background. The goal is to change the firmness and shape of your hold until the crosshairs move as little as possible during the shot cycle...

FX FX Crown, turn it down to how much?

For any Americans reading this, a 'full-speed' Crown is well above 10J. A 10J gun should have a nice low regulator setting. You should be able to halve that power using hammer and transfer port alone. Also shoot wadcutter pellets indoors. much less tendency to embed.

    Pennsylvania Airgun show

I called the museum in Carlisle and one of their staff said the Lewis and Clark girandoni is not in Carlisle. He suspected it might be in Ft Belvoir but I would need to contact the DC head office to find out more.

I spoke with someone at the Carlisle museum and unfortunately the Lewis and Clark Girandoni airgun is not at their location. He believes it’s in DC area possibly Ft Belvoir.

Selling or posting an add on this site

To buy, doesn't seem like such a big risk. The seller should receive and confirm payment before shipping. To sell immediately, that is certainly a risk to the membership and new members who have any experience with the issue (we're not the only forum with a classifieds) will understand and...

    Re-sizing pellets

I use this one. It’s tapered so it leaves the skirt a bit larger than the head dia. https://www.trrobb.com/product/adjustable-pellet-seaterv1 So far I’ve been sizing to not touch the head (skirts only) but try various things to see what works best in your barrel

    XFT scope zero?

My far zero is about 30y. 25-35 are all pretty much the same. But that's less important than knowing your dope very well. XFT where we do it involves needing to know how to hit any distance between 20 and 105, so I would prioritize working out drops for a variety of ranges. Some pellets...

    WARNING/ read before you buy.

It sounds like the factory accidentally shipped some empty boxes and the vendors aren’t getting involved.

Sorry readers my post regarding RAW has been deleted by the admin as I understand

Those rules make a really good case for posters to spend less time and effort contributing here. For all of the energy and effort that some posters put into sharing good info, there should be enough shreds of decency laying around to explain, on some level, when a senior contributor has crossed...

Sorry readers my post regarding RAW has been deleted by the admin as I understand

Nothing more frustrating than a moderator who will shut down topics and posts without a clear explanation. A certain small arms forum “RFC” has done that lately and I have let my membership lapse there because of shady bans for permitted content. I say this from a point of experience I was a...

    Questions from a newbie

Airguns that can humanely down a deer get very few shots per bottle fill and require a significant compressor / bulk fill bottle to keep fed. A few airguns can develop that kind of power but it's not a very convenient package. So I agree to look at alternate powderburners (300BLK suppressed?)...
