    Strictly off hand…

I’m pretty sure my 2-3” groups sizes at 20y shrink by 1/8” when I use a match rifle. Also I hang around some very (very!) experienced 10m shooters. Don’t buy the jacket or pants if you want to improve as a shooter. Only buy those if you want a quick boost in score and wish to slow developing...

    Leading In A Barrel

I think every gun/pellet combination can be different in terms of what cleaning keeps them going. Centerfire benchest shooters tend to only settle for combinations that work with a spotlessly clean barrel. They also go through numerous barrels and bullet lots. So they probably miss some...

RAW Rapid TM1000X Benchrest .22 with Benchmark Barrel

A 5/8” or 16mm barrel with a 1mm CF wrap is amply stiff and all you can fit in a RAW. Making an asymmetrical profile barrel just because it looks more beefy - I would want nothing to do with that, personally.

Wow that’s hammering! Is that a 2 groove?

I jumped in with both feet, now what?

In addition to the air source, a variety of .22 pellets because you’re not doing those gun justice if you don’t shoot their favorite pellets.

    What gun, what criteria?

I dunno words like "best powerful airgun for hunting" will land you thousands of hits. And your search words have to align with the right jargon words to even get that. I've tried searching for stuff and we forget how much we already know when we're surfing through results to know how to...

    What gun, what criteria?

there are a lot of firearm shooters who simply don't know and have no concept of how many options exist. If the first response isn't aggressive and obnoxious there usually is a useful conversation. If the OP doesn't want to respond at all or gets defensive, then I block them.

    What gun, what criteria?

For airgun: 1) Rifle/pistol 2) PCP/springer 3) Intended uses ordered by primary / secondary / etc 4) Intended budget 5) Accuracy requirements 6) Slug vs. pellet and preferred caliber/pellet type/pellet weight 7) Other important items (carry weight, offhand shooting, bipod mount, etc) 8)...

Most variety of diameters only in .22 - why is that? And why undersized?

It’s equally valid to question whether 22 is the most difficult caliber to find the best slug since all of those diameters exist for a reason.

    Zero Compromise Scopes

For general shooting that’s fine. For field target that is a huge problem. In field target the ranging is critical between 10-18y and 45-55y. POI moves probably 1/4” per yard in the <15y range. Forgiving parallax prevents good ranging. Yeah field target is weird like that. Another reason I...

    did a thread just disappear?

Like any inflation- or tariff-focused thread I've seen on any shooting forum, that subject quickly veers into politics. For a moderator it's a nightmare to try and fairly moderate post-by-post so the whole thread tends to vanish at once.

Welcome aboard Brian. We certainly won't argue that this forum isn't heavy on US shooters but we have plenty from other parts of the world and always welcome more.

N/A Muzzle energy varies with pellet weight, WHY?

The physics of compressible flow is anything but freshman level. It’s probably not unlike flow through rocket nozzles.. I haven’t read it myself but you could start with Cardews Airgun: Trigger to Target
