    N/A Mystery diopter?

I did a ton of googling on this but never found this thread - thanks!! I'll have to give that a try.

    HW/Weihrauch Plug Screw Availability

Nicely done - this looks like the cleanest currently available option I have seen - I need to go see if my Ace has these!

    FWB Where is my sleeve?

Are they usually epoxied on? Can you remove with moderate heat? Anyone know? I have a mint 300 and would love to get the sleeve off, if possible, without messing up the gun. They really weigh a ton with the sleeve on and are so front heavy, especially without that 445mm long barrel!

Other My HW97, from basic to Bombastic

I'm with John on this one. Nicely done! Is the action cerakoted or something of that ilk?

    Beeman Silicone?

I used remoil for years because it was easy and left the bluing protected without looking streaky or oily. But I think there are some silicones in that as well, which I now try to avoid. Now I use a nice piece of 100% cotton flannel and Ballistol. I didn't discover it until I was an adult, so...

    HW/Weihrauch HW55 Standard date-of-manufacturing

What a terrific find - that looks like a very sweet old girl! I would imagine that owning that one is made even better by the fact that it was an absolute steal and looked like like a piece of junk. I mean, really, that cleaned up VERY nicely. Congratulations on getting a great gun with a...

    HW/Weihrauch Weihrauch or Beeman

As has been said, the Beeman R7 = HW30 and the R9 = HW95. Currently, the only difference I'm aware of is that the stocks might be different. As far as a good gun for plinking and taking rabbits and squirrels - a HW30 is perfect for that, although I prefer to keep it to a max of 20 yards (and...

    HW/Weihrauch HW30S restoration

Where do you find this stuff, John?? Beautiful pair. But they look exactly the same, so really no point in keeping both, right? ;) This reminds me I have been threatening to send Scott at least a couple of rifles for probably a year now - time to just box them up and do it!

HW/Weihrauch Here it is. My last airgun came today.

Nicely done. That's a pretty one. The lines and wood on those old Goudy stocks. are just so good. They really don't make them like that anymore...

    Theoben Process of Elimination

This ^ But if you have to get rid of one, dump the laminate one - very cool, but not in the same league as the other ones. So is this Theoben-branded Eliminators only? I know of at least one Crow Magnum that you used to have (that I should have kept!) Also, who makes the slim moderators? Or...

HW/Weihrauch looking for the best to tuner my HW80

It depends on your gun, but 18 fpe should be pretty easy and 19 attainable. Hitting 20 will depend on the gun and the shot cycle can get harsh. Over 20 - often possible but I wouldn't shoot for it, no pun intended. I have a gold trigger era R1 that was tuned to be my hunting gun - it gets in...

    HW/Weihrauch HW Comparison

Kirk, didn't you have three before selling the nickel one (which I should have bought) a few years back? Looking at your recent post on your new rack, it seems to have made its way back to you...and apparently brought a friend with it? Also, 100% agree that it's a classy, well-built gun and...

    N/A Mystery diopter?

My understanding is that its an adjustable iris and diopter, which I can adjust by rotating the silver band. That part works. And I can't believe that with as much time as I spent messing with this thing, I never looked at the eyepiece closely enough to realize it had lettering all over it...

    N/A Mystery diopter?

Other than a Williams peep on one of my HW30's and the original FWB units on the 300s, I have virtually no experience with diopter sights, but I definitely like using them. So I recently acquired this for very little cost out of curiosity, hoping to adapt it to my Williams. No name that I can...

    HW/Weihrauch HW Comparison

It depends on the gun and the tune. If it's a .22, 17 is not crazy, but is about the max. I had one making 16.5 and the shot cycle was fine.
