Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

Actually, I needed to update this post, so now is a good a time as any. Over the past 48-72 hours, air loss has been almost non-existent. My conclusion is that the bleed screw had somehow started to allow air to escape; not much, but noticeable over numerous hours. I took to unscrewing the...

Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

An update: After re-seating/re-tightening the "bleed screw," I am seeing a slowing of the leak process. Having said that, I admit that I have not had the reservoir filled up to the level at which i previously experienced the 100BAR drop in three hours. Still, I am hopeful that further...

Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

@Odoyle: That sounds like a reasonable next step should my efforts with the bleed screw and fill port not reveal anything obvious. Thanks again.

Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

@Odoyle: Thanks for the additional guidance. So far I've simply opened the bleed screw, draining the reservoir. I've tightened the bleed valve and now am in the process of refilling the reservoir, by hand of course. I figured that such an effort, along with the fill port, would be the...

Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

Yes your bleed screw is that flat head slot at the gauge. Thanks for confirming that. "...look for the leak at the air release valve" For the sake of clarity, the "air release valve" (as you call it) is NOT the same as what I refer to as the "bleed valve." Ia that correct? Thank you.

Tuning Air Loss at Rest (Hatsan Flash QE in .22)

Good day all: I have a Hatsah Flash QE in .22 that recently started exhibiting air loss while at rest. It has not been modified in any way, and the only recent "change" is that I had to let it sit untouched (and at between 100 and 200BAR) for about 6 weeks due to a medical issue. Upon getting...

If I can't trust a company in small matters, I probably can't trust them in larger matters.

Unresponsiveness of Jefferson State Air Rifles USA

UPDATE: Single tin of JSB pellets arrived. Here's how things look. First, the packaging: a single "Padded Bubble Bag," large enough to contain the tin (but just barely) but not protect it. Second, unopen tin was damaged on two sides. My guess would be that at least some of the pellets also...

    Pyramyd Air shipping Delays

@Chunky_Munky: All my experiences with PA have been positive (and I'm not getting compensated in any way to say that). When I called last week, I was told they were seeing a substantial increase in traffic. My guess is that you have nothing about which to be concerned. Just sayin'. Fwiw; ymmv.
