Bipod mounting to Umarex Hammer

Hello! New to the forum…

Trying to figure out a way to mount a bipod to my new umarex hammer. Has anyone here done it? Pics would be great. Looks like the only options I can come up with screwing a picatinny rail to the underside of the shroud or possibly a bore mount type bipod to the bore shroud? I'm nervous about drilling holes in my brand new gun and there doesn't look like there is much clearance to fit nuts between the inside of the shroud and the bottle… any help?

Thanks!

(PS sorry for re-post, got no response from the PCP discussion board)

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Umarex Hammer have MLOK slots underneath the forend? If so, then any MLOK picatinny rail would mount up in a cinch.

Like this?...

Magpul polymer MLOK rails usually work well for me. What I like about them is that the ends are beveled so they're not sharp if you have your hand rested on them when not using a bipod. Just be aware that some MLOK rails might not fit between the forend and the bottle. I'm not sure. I would have to look at it and I don't own a Umarex Hammer. If the screws get in the way of the bottle, you might have to grind the screws and mounting plate down. I had to do this with my Leshiy 2 with the Valkyrie CF handguard.

In regards to the picatinny rails, I usually get the 5 slot versions for more clearance and mounting options. A 3 slot rail will work with Atlas and Accu-Tac bipods if you don't want the picatinny rail to show.
