Airforce Condor & Texan Aluminum Chassis Stock Development

I have started development chassis type stocks for the Airforce line of rifles. Here is a prototype for the Condor. The Texan would have similar lines. The plan would be make them out of aluminum and use Cerakote for finish. The butt would be integral to the rest of the stock. With the location of the trigger and thus the grip, I just do not see using an AR buffer tube and the whole array of stocks for the AR plate form. It would also drop the butt even lower to the bore, which is a bad idea for recoil management and muzzle rise. The chassis would use an AR grip, have an M-Lok panel on the bottom of the forearm. It would fit aluminum and carbon fiber bottles.

How many would what a cheek riser incorporated? I have one designed and tooled and can incorporate it if that is a desired feature.

Very nice. How long until these are available? What is the weight?
Great questions!

How long?? Maybe by the end of the year. Really still in the design prototype phase working manufacturability, cost....etc

Weight? Based on the volume of the CAD model the bare chassis is right at 4.4 lbs on my latest model that I have been working on cutting out some of the mass. I will have to make some major changes to get it down to say 3.5 lbs

My Composite Carbon Fiber chassis stock for the FX DRS comes in under 2.4 lbs so I may have to explore that as a lighter option.

Have you seen any significant improvements in accuracy with a stock/chassis on the condor?

Can you machine an arca rail into the forearm as an option?

Could you machine the end to accept a k&l syle adjustable butt?

I have a condor im about to build into a bench gun so I wouldnt mind the additional weight of the current chassis.

I have never shot an Airforce rifle that wasn't in a stock. To me they are like buying a bare action....lol

I will have to look at the dimensions for the arca rail cross section. Right now I have an M-lok panel on the under side of the forearm.

The K & L butt would have to be a custom modification. I need to keep the design / manufacturing geared toward the "mass" appeal to the small audience that would want a chassis.
